Now he wants to make videos opening his own toys and pokemon packs and he gets upset nobody likes his videos. Wtf?

setup a fake youtube account and troll the #### out with specific information about his room / clothes / meals  of him until he gets scared enough to stop

my daughter does this with her My Little Pony beanie bags, it's quite the production.

told her when she's twelve I'll consider posting them - she is blocked from YouTube atm

Got the same thing going on with my 2 girls. They don't even play their games anymore. When they get iPad time, they spend every second on YouTube kids with these kinds of videos.

Yes, my two kids as well

Daughter- Bratalyley and watching people open shopkins

Son- watching people play NHL 16 Dynasty teams and watching some kid Luka open NFL and NHL legos

same here....daughter 10 and son 6. Everything we do, my daughter wants to film it and post it on YT. We don't but it never stops her from asking. She wants to do all these challenges that take a ton of set up, one is a smoothy challenger where you blind pick 3 ingredients (some nasty) and blend them up. i'm like, nope.

We did do one, a jelly bean thing which IMO was stupid as hell, but she posted it and at the moment, all the hits have come from her checking to see if anyone watched it.

on the flip side, when you hear about the coin some f these dudes make its crazy, but most don't realize that its a full time job promoting and shooting these things.

My son is obsessed with watching other people play Zombies on youtube.  Granted, I've played the zombies mode and would have no idea what I was supposed to do if he hadn't watched a video to figure out the point, but still, he's a kid.  He should be figuring it out for himself.  We didn't watch videos to figure out Zelda and we survived.

Daughter- Bratalyley
How old?  Does she know about the brother dying?  My 7 and 5 yr old are way into it but I'm pretty sure they have never found out about him. They definitely would have told me or asked.

My daughter is 8, turning 9 in a few weeks and yes, she knows

She was home sick the other day and watched 6 hours of Bratayley. WTF.

But, I will say that Youtube is the greatest web site ever created. It has helped with home improvements and things I never thought I would be able to do

Hhhheeelllloooo!  This is Stompy!

Oh, and if I ever meet the guy from Family Gamers TV, I'm going to turn his headset sideways and shove it up his ding dong.

If you're talking about the Call of Duty Zombies, it's impossible to figure all of that stuff out on your own these days. The stuff they make you do is so stupid, pointless and irrational that the only way things really get figured out is that either people hack the games and figure it out from reading the code, or the developers tell the top Youtubers who promote their stuff and the Youtubers pretend they figured it out.

Just the next evolution of entertainment. For the love all that you hold dear, keep them away from Twitch and its chat forever.

Same here. Hobby kids, people opening blind bags, video of a dad and kid playing video games.

6 year old loves this ####.

I dont allow it but nanny does - I am going to change the password on her someday when I'm feeling pissy.

caught my 7 year old daughter watching videos of other kids playing with their toys... lost my ####, told her to go play with her own toys! WTF?

South Park parodied this pretty well. Apparently kids like watching other people do stuff instead of actually doing the things themselves. And pewdiepie is an actually person make a lot more money than you are.

They have a formula that works like any other TV show.

I really had no idea this was a big thing.   When the OP posted this, I thought he was still drunk from the weekend.

No idea what anyone is talking about in this thread.

Well, except for youtube, youporn and South Park

My daughter and son do this.  Son watches people play Skylanders on Youtube and is becoming a finatic.  He will be turning 6 soon and the discussion getting him the Skylander game for XBox has come up.  I might have to play with him initially until he gets the hang of it. But it is something else for him and I to do on bad weather days. I push for him to go outside together without much of a struggle from him, although he is not the most coordinated when it comes to sports dispite my efforts.

Daughter likes to watch Mommy and Gracie show...I monitor what they watch, but less so with her.  She likes to watch people do crafts and repeat what she sees.  She is also into the shopkins becuase of her cousin. I tell her if I see any on the ground the dog will eat it, so I will throw them away.  She's been good so far.

Yep I can throw out all his toys and he wouldn't even notice. But we have to keep buying him toys do he can make videos opening them (we don't do this by the way. Ok maybe a few times)

Oh i knew it was a big thing and the reason I posted it is because I know many other parents irl complain about them too

My daughter is the same way. I wish I would have come up with the idea of a YouTube channel of just opening up toys and playing with them. They're probably raking in the ad money on those things. Unbelievable.

Yeah, sorry, CoD Zombies.  The strange thing is I'd probably say he watches youtube videos at a 3-1 ration as compared to the amount of time he spends playing it.

Jeez and I thought it was bad that my 4 year old always wants to watch Youtube to see the bands actually playing their music.  Might have to encourage that strain of youtube watching a tad more.

The guy with the glasses, goatee and head setset.

Oh and Haileys dad is the gayest person alive
Yeah, that guy is awful.

Hailey's dad....which "channel" is that?  Is he the one with the horribly annoying lisp?  Is that the Hobby Kids dad?

ETA:  I'm thinking of the guy from The Engineering Family, not Hobby Kids.
