1) ADP - I don't think I have to state why I like ADP do I?

2) Steven Jackson - The offense is going to be completely based around him and the oline is looking great. Jackson will $$$$ this year

3) Chris Johnson - This kid is amazing. This year the Titans find more ways to get him the ball

4) M. Turner - Another year in this offense with Gonzo......could get 15+ td's again this year

5) Maurice Jones-Drew - Had him alittle higher until the last week or so. I wonder how the extra touches will affect his game

6) Clinton Portis - Not sexy but extremely consistent. Just give him the ball 20 times a game and watch the points add up

7) Steve Slaton - This offense is ready to explode and Slaton is the perfect back for it. He can catch and run and should get all the touches in Houston

8) DeAngelo Williams - If Stewart wasn't in Carolina Dwilly would be definetly in my top 5 but he isn't so he isn't. Still should be solid this year

9) Larry Johnson - I really see a big year for Larry this year. I'm not afraid to say I see double digit td's and about 1400-1600 all purpose yards

10) Matt Forte - I don't think his skills are great but he has a good line and gets alot of touches.

I don't see SJax holding up this season and I'd move LJ out of this list. Portis seems high too. In a redrraft I'd have LT and Gore in there.

I got

1. Peterson With Brett there I see 20 rushing TD's.

2. LT. Looks healthy again and does it all. I love the SD O this year and what he can do in it

3. Jackson. While I dont think he lasts the year, he is effective when he plays

4. Turner. I dont like the value here but good team and he has shown what he can do. After the top 3, no RB excites me for value

5. Gore. I like him as the main guy there in the end

6. Drew-Jones. I got to put him here because no one else out there. Lead back but I think expectations are too high on him by most. Dont think a true workhorse RB

7. Chris Johnson. Same as Drew Jones but more competition in White and Henry there and not the QB-receiving threats to help either

8. Westbrook-Now I want McCoy also but how can you not like the Philly game overall. Westy is money when healthy. Just injury that knocks him down here or he is #4.

9. DeAngelo. If he was the guy than higher but I dont see the same rushing numbers for Carolina this year and his TD's are going down

10. Beanie Wells. My surprise pick. I see good stats with Wisenhunt wanting to run more and Hightower as not much competiton. I could see 15TD's this year

I'm all for others' opions but since when did Henry become competition for Chris Johnson?

pretty good list. i'll go with S.Jax at two. not big on CJ at 3. a little high imo.i'd switch LJ with Westy.

You must be kidding about the oline
despite a bad O line in 08, Sjax averaged 86 yards per game, 5th in the NFL. if the O line improves at all he will have a monster year.

I don't think the yards will be a problem for Sjax, that offense won't sniff the goal line often enough to make him a top 5 pick.

A better question is did he mean Travis Henry or Chris Henry? Both are equally likely to score a rushing TD for the Titans.....My top 10:

1. ADP: if he plays 16 games this guy is a flat out stud and has great OL and D so lots of carries coming

2. MJD: project Pocket Hercules over 250-300 carries and he could be #1

3. Chris Johnson: The next Westbrook, Titans will be playing behind a little more this year and need to get him the ball more

4. Forte: Cutler will keep 8 out of the box, still has a good OL

5. LT2: Last horray, the D is healthy so they will be passing less to play catch and can lean on him later in games, doesn't hurt that the AFC West suxor

6. SJax: Talented and the only real weapon on the Lambs, can he and his OL stay healthy?

7. Westbrook: you can't predict injuries but highly doubt Westy plays a 16 games seasons, pencil him in for 12-13, if he plays 16 he is top 3

8. Slaton: great talent in great system, just hope he holds up over 16 games

9. Turner: doubt he gets less carries but she dont buy into the Falcons, I think last year was a fluke but can't put him much lower after last year's numbers, still he was not great vs good team for most part

10. Pierre Thomas: that's right, best offense and Reggie will be a punt returner/WR if he stays healthy, a steal in late 3rd, early 4th.

You must be kidding about the oline
Alot of people think that since they lost Orlando Pace they downgraded big time from a bad line last year when the truth is far from that. Pace hasn't been Pace like for the last three years and every year was getting hurt. Now we bring in a younger healthier version of Pace with Jason Smith. Another year should be better for Alex Barron (plus its a contract year) plus they brought in the best olineman free agent in Jason Brown to play center. Now if someone can keep Richie Incognito in line and Jacob Bell keeps on playing good this is going ot be the one of the best units in the legue. Also this year they have depth at the oline positions which is something they have lacked for the last 3-4 years.I'm a Rams fan and usually try to check the homerism at the door but I'm just saying this oline is going to be vastly improved and like I said one of the best in the league.

side note: Everyone is talking about Arizona nd Seattle being the frontrunners for the division and the 49ers are the sexy pick for a sleeper but I really think the Rams could make some noise this year.

1. Adrian Peterson -- Won't catch a ton of passes, but probably the only back with a 2,000 yard ceiling. The guy is a beast, and assuming Favre signs on with Minnesota he'll be even harder to defend.

2. SJax -- The entire offense will run through him, and the Rams will be better than a lot of people think. Not playoff better, but a solid offense. Young, improving line, a potential star in the making on the outside in Avery will help. SJax is also one of the few three-down backs left out there

3. MJD -- There's a little bit of trepidation with this guy ... part of me thinks that maybe he's another Marion Barber, who didn't necessarily get better with more work. But the O-line in Jville is much improved, and if Garrard improves even a little it will be hard to defend this guy

4. Matt Forte -- Won't get quite the number of touches he did last year, but should be more productive with a better QB under center. Could see his yardage go down a bit but his TDs increase

5. Frank Gore -- The Niners will finally figure out that this guy is the biggest offensive threat they have, and he'll get the ball more than he did with Martz calling the plays. His YPC is always good, and he could hit double digit TDs this season

6. Michael Turner -- Falcons will lighten his workload, and there's almost no way he'll hit 17 TDs again this year. Also doesn't help in a PPR format

7. Chris Johnson -- Not quite as sold on him as a lot of other people are. LenDale will still take goal line carries, and with the Titans behind more this year they'll rely more on the passing game. He'll be part of that, but not the only target

8. LT -- Should still have one more good year in his body, and the Chargers will once again rely on the ground game to get it done. Sproles is merely a change of pace back and won't really cut into LTs production all that much

9. Ronnie Brown -- Two years removed from his knee injury, Brown should be the most dynamic player on the Fins offense. Yeah, the schedule gets harder, but Brown's talent can't be denied. He should get more TDs this year, and the addition of Pat White to take some of the Wildcat work could actually HELP Brown's production

10. Clinton Portis -- The guy keeps on going, and he had great numbers last year. Skins bread and butter is the ground game, and Portis is the only real threat they have. If Jason Campbell puts up any kind of season Portis should benefit as defenses won't be able to crowd the box.

Just missed -- Steve Slaton/Brian Westbrook/Kevin Smith/Pierre Thomas/Brandon Jacobs

The Rams have one of the easiest schedules in 2009 especially with the number of games played indoors. Steven Jackson could have a season that rivals his 2006 campaign

I'll Play

ADP

Turner

MJD

D-Will

LT

Forte

Westy

Benson

Grant

Rice

The next 10 on my list are very close to the last 3 but someone has to be in the top ten...why not these 3

1. Peterson - STUD, not much to say

2. MJD - bunch of carries, bunch of points

3. SJax - easy schedule, focal point of offense

4. Turner - wish he would catch a little better

5. Chris Johnson - westbrook 2.0

6 LT - still think he was some gas left in the tank

7. Jacobs - TD hog

8. Slaton - ryan moats is his backup, alot of carries coming his way, can he hold up?

9 Ronnie Brown - run first team

10 PT - great offense, gl back

biggest bust in the 1st round - forte.

Not a bad list. But I kind of scratch my head when people question whether Slaton can hold up but seem to have little to no doubts about Chris Johnson holding up. Didn't he wuss out of the playoff game due to a twisted ankle? A proverbial "no-no", he's gotta stay in that game somehow. And to label this kid Westbrook 2.0 is false as he doesn't run good routes nor does he have the hands of Westbrook. But there is a guy on this list who does....again, it's Slaton. As you might tell, although I don't have too much to gripe about with the list, I would swap Slaton and Johnson.

Looks like Frank Gore is missing on a lot of these top-10 list. That means it's time to jump on the Gore bandwagon !!! :excited:

1. MJD-with greater work load this year and improved oline I see a Holmes-like season coming.

2. Williams-contrary to what many believe I see his role increasing in comparison to Stewart's.

3. Forte-put up elite numbers last year and now Chi actually has another elite player on offense.

4. Peterson-elite player with one of the best run blocking olines in the NFL.

5. Jackson-I'm a Jackson believer and also believe that Stl will have much better oline play.

6. Turner-I see Atl having a down year after 2008s success and Turner will be most impacted.

7. Portis-this guy is just as reliable as anyone to finish in the top 12 at his position.

8. Gore-health is always a concern with Gore but if he stays on the field he should easily be top 10.

9. Brown-Williams will get phased out of the offense more and Brown more involved.

10. L. Johnson-I'm seeing a bounce back season for LJ.

11. LT-still good enough for top 12 and RB1.

12. Wells-elite talent and supurb opportunities will come his way in Arz.

Just missed: McFadden, Bush, Westy and C. Johnson.

 "Poverbial" when it's not your ankle. And he wussed out after 100 yds in the 1st half.

2 quick things..

1) I am not a Rams fan

2) I am a SJax owner and turned down several great offers for him

Steven has had injuries in his past but when he plays he is a beast. The O Line HAS improved this year by letting an oft injured Pace go and getting Brown and Smith. Barron's best year as a pro was the year he played his majority over at LT when Pace was hurt. Jacob Bell was a good lineman with Tennessee, so the only real question mark is Richie C. Plus the Rams got a full back, which Steven hasn't had since 2006 when he had great numbers. He has no competition for carries. Outside of health, which really can be said about any football player, everything is looking better for Steven this year.

Add in the fact that the Rams got rid of Linnehan in which every veteren there hated and you have a player who might play alittle harder for his coach. Spags seems like a guy the players will respect alot more than Linnehan was. I'm not saying any of them faked injuries but sometimes I think players play harder for one than another and I think this might be the case with the Rams this year.

Owners are REALLY sleeping on LT. He was injured all year last year, you could tell he couldn't cut on that toe, and he STILL at #7 in our league. Healthy all year and he's a lock for top 5

Maybe I am sleeping on him but when the team goes out and franchising his backup that tells me that they aren't to sure on him either. Why would you feel confident of a 30 year old rb who hasn't finished the season the last 2 years whose team didn't know if they wanted to cut him or not this offseasonThat doesn't like to reassuring to me.I have alwas loved LT and as long as he can stay healthy I'm sure he can put up #'s but I think his load is going to be reduced this year to make sure he can make it to the playoffs where it counts.I wouldn't be surprised if he touches the ball less than 300 times for the first time in his career so he can be fresh for the playoffs.
