my top 10 te's (1 Viewer)

Blackjacks

Footballguy
1) Jason Witten - he'll get the most targets out of any tight end and he'll catch the most balls as well

2) Dallas Clark - he is now the #3 wr in Peyton Manning's offense

3) Antonio Gates - still a stud but i see a small regress coming

4) Tony Gonzalez - new offense but same Tony. I'm sure he'll be fine

5) Owen Daniels - I've said it with every other skill player for Houston in these threads but they are all getting ready to take off this year

6) Greg Olsen - good situaton. He has a good qb and he is the best wr on the team. Olsen could be in for a big year

7) Dustin Keller - very similiar to Olsen except the whole good qb thing. If Clemons starts this year I will really want Keller on every team

8) John Carlson - I think he is going to be a very steady te for years to come.

9) Chris Cooley - I think he will be a good stable te but they are starting to get alot of young options there in Washington

10) Kellen Winslow - he has alot of talent but his team might not enough to get him higher than this

1. Dallas Clark. I think the benefactor of Harrison being gone. Look for more TD

2. Antonio Gates. I Love the SD O this year and he will be the guy

3. Jason Witten. Great talent but not a Romo lover. Even if they have a special bond. No TO to take off pressure

4. Gonzalez-The top 4 are pretty easy and any order is good. he will take time to adapt to new enviroment and age is factor

5. Cooley- Just gets it done year in and out

6. Zach Miller-I expect everything to go up this year and way more TD's

7. Dustin Keller-He moves up the pecking order and will be more involved as maybe the go to guy

8. Greg Olsen-Should improve with Cutler but Bennett is the guy I see as the biggest beneficiary

9. Kellen Winslow. On talent alone, he would be higher but another guy who scares me

10. John Carlson. Good TE who should be very consistent year in and out

I'll add another voice saying Zach Miller should be in the top-10. He's Russell's security blanket.
Well if he is Jamarcus Russell's security blanket nevermind, of course he should be in the top 10. I think Russell is the worst qb starting in the NFL right now.

If Garcia is the starter in Oakland I would probably bump Miller into my top ten. I also think Oakland would be in a playoff hunt as well.

Idk if they're top 10, but I like Scheffler with Kyle Orton in town, and I also like Shiancoe with Favre. There are a lot of options this year... with that said I will probably reach for Witten, he plays soooo hard and how can you not like a tight end who is GUARANTEED to gets tons of targets? He's the most sure thing is fantasy this year.

...I might look to pick up someone like Olsen, Scheffler or Shiancoe in the later rounds for trade bait. Every year there are at least 6 teams hurting for a solid tight end.

Interesting list Crippler. One of the things I enjoy most is reading how posters here rank guys. Always feel like I can glean somthing even if I'm not 100% in agreement. In fact I probably learn more when it is someone who has a differing opinion.I do find one glaring omission... Owen Daniels. Odds are this guy is top 5... and his floor is almost surely top 10. Even if you aren't as high on him as others may be, I see very little chance he's not a top 10 TE.Gotta think he bumps Carlson or Keller.

1. Dallas Clark -- Will be the Colts No. 2 target and will be closer to his 11 TDs from 2007 than to last year's 6.

2. Antonio Gates -- Finally healthy, the guy will once again be a monster as teams find it impossible to cover him over the middle with a LB or deep with a safety.

3. Witten -- Dallas will throw a LOT less this year, and no TO means that Witten will see more coverage as he -- not Roy Williams -- is the Cowboys most dangerous receiver. Don't be surprised if Martellus Bennett steals some of Witten's TDs

4. Greg Olsen -- Cutler will turn him into a star, and he was showing flashes last year with Orton. He'll be even better with a competent QB who can get the ball downfield

5. Tony Gonzalez -- Falcons will utilize him a bunch in the red zone but he won't have a ton of catches as they'll ask him to block a bit more than he's accustomed to. Still solid, though

6. Zach Miller -- Raiders pretty much have no one else to throw to, and like Olsen is someone who will blossom this year

7. Owen Daniels -- You have to assume his TD total will go up, and if it does he'll be a candidate for the top five

8. Kellen Winslow -- Can't like his injury history, and given how shaky the Bucs QB situation is his number could take a big hit. Has never been a TD monster to begin with, and will vie with Bryant for the few passing scores TB has this year

9. Chris Cooley -- Would like him more if the Skins had better talent at WR. As it is, he gets a lot of attention from opposing defenses, and Campbell's spotty play hasn't helped. If Portis is healthy all year Cooley should benefit

10. John Carlson -- Reports are that he won't come off the field, and given that Seattle will pass a lot and the fact that he's probably second only to Housh in ability among Seattle targets, Carlson could have a real breakout campaign

Just missed -- Brent Celek/Dustin Keller/Bo Scaife
