I've played fantasy football for many years from online leagues to local home leagues. Most of the leagues I've been in recently have been re-draft IDP leagues.
I've also been commissioner for our home league for about 5 years and just passed over the reigns on that last year. I've also been commissioner for a few start up online re-draft leagues.
Now, I'm looking to stay focused on just 2 fantasy leagues: My home league and this new Dynasty League (first time).
Basics of the league
12 Team IDP Dynasty- Keep 20 players- Rookie/FA Draft each year
$250 yearly buy-in. First year will be $500 with $250 acting as the full deposit for next season along with a $7.50 fee for Myfantasyleague.com. From 2018 on, we will just pay the $250 towards the next season plus 7.50 site fee. Payments will be safeguarded in LeagueSafe and will require majority rule for cash withdrawals.
Total Prize Payout:
League Champion- $1600, Runner-Up $600, 3rd Place- $300 (figured out by 3rd place playoff game in final week between 2 semifinal losers) Top 2 seeds- $250 each
Absolutely NO COLLUSION or HORSEPLAY. If there is, we will take a league vote and if voted out you will be kicked out of the league.
Each roster will have 32 total players, 2 IR spots, and 3 taxi squad spots (you can only call up the players off taxi squad once per season. Once they are called up, they cannot go back to taxi squad for 120 days (full season).
Starting lineups:
1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 Offensive Flex, 1 Kicker, 2 DL, 3 LB, 2 DB 1 Defensive Flex
2 Conferences- 4 Divisions - Top 6 Teams make playoffs and Top 2 seeds get first round bye plus $250
Bottom 6 make up the "Battle for the Top Pick Bracket" The winner of this playoff bracket gets the first round pick in the following years Rookie/Free Agent Draft
After each season, each team will get to keep up to 20 players including Taxi Squad members
Each team must cut down to 20 players by the designated time after the end of the season.
The following year a draft will be held sometime after the NFL rookie draft and before the next season starts. The order will be determined by the "Battle for the Top Pick" bracket (in order of the finish in this bracket). Then the next 6 will be figured out by the worst-first in the playoff bracket.
Players will include all incoming rookies and any free agents including those released
Waiver system will be based on blind bidding- Each team will start with $1000 fictional dollars that they can use to bid blindly on players.
Trades will be welcomed since this will be a dynasty league. In order for trades to be contested/rejected, league majority must vote against it and have good reason (not just that it will make one of the teams better).
I've loved embracing fantasy football for so many years and look forward to diving into Dynasty. I really want only diehard players looking to be competitive and remain in the league for a while. Let me know if you're interested and shoot me your email!
