It's been in the works. Situational though.what ever happened to moving Wallce to WR?
I doubt that Frye has picked up the intricacies of Holmgren's offense enough to be counted on as the #2 if Wallace gets hurt. Wallace will never be a full time WR. He got 3-5 snaps on Sunday (I don't remember, too busy choking down nausea) and I expect he'll get a few more than that for the next 2 weeks until Branch and Hackett are back. If Frye works out, then next year I could see him getting a lot more work. Bottom line, I never would expect him to be worth a spot as a WR simply becuase he doesn't play it full time.what ever happened to moving Wallce to WR?
The Steelers D absolutely blanketed the WRs. It was a great game plan, giving Hass lots of time but nowhere to throw, with 7-8 guys in coverage. Know why? Because they knew that SA is a gutless overpaid wonder who won't run the ball hard anymore now that he has his contract so why even worry about the run. The Saints sure won't be able to cover the backfield as well as the Steelers did. And I think Engram, Burleson and Obumanu are all pretty good starts as it's hard to know who will get the balls. I am surprised to see Engram with as many TDs as he has already. He's always been more of a chain mover than scorer and I thought Nate would be a better pickup, but I don't really know now. With Branch out, Hass will lean on Engram more but Burleson has the homerun capabliity.I was prepared to release Burleson this week before Branch got hurt and now I'm inclined to start him due to the matchup but I still don't feel great about it. I took another look at their game against the Steelers and one thing that has me concerned is that after Branch went out he still did not get a lot of looks. I originally thought they were trying to target Obamanu who I assumed was lined up against the Steelers rookie CB William Gay but I realized it was Burleson lined up against Gay. So with Branch out of the game, Burleson lined up against a 5th round rookie CB who was pressed into action due to an injury, and with the Hawks trailing and needing to pass Burleson still did squat.
In my league he's done it 3 times in the last 5 games... and that was with Branch playing. It's ppr though.Since 2004, Nate Burleson has scored more than 6 fantasy points exactly 4 times. That's 34 games.
From Seahawks Insider:In a non-ppr, Engram is your bottomline 2WR, and has more value than a TD only scenario.
Asides from last week he's been solid.

This guy is Matt's security blanket. And frankly, if Seattle decides to limit the use of a FB and go more 3-wide with Strong gone, the slot wideout and TE spots should get more attention.
I'd run this guy every week without fear if I needed to cover my 2WR start.
I'm a little surprised to see them take Bobby out of his slot role, that's where he excels. But I also think he will be there plenty as they run a ton of 3WR sets and if they have enough healthy on the roster, 4. Though they keep making only 4 active and getting one hurt. Not sure how well Bobby will fare on the outside vs the slot, but as much as he will be in the slot it may not matter. Obamanu would be #3 and Courtney Taylor the 4th. Who they have as a 5th I dunno, they'd have to pull up Fernandez(?) from the PS. But their gameplan has been compromised severely with guys getting hurt on Sunday and only 4 WRs dressed so hopefully they bring a 5th. I have to say that the more Engram is in the slot, the more valuable he is. I thought Nate would step up more than Engram, not in ppr but in TDs and yards. Very interested in what Obu can do. He's bigger than the others, though not by much (6'1" 206 or so) but he plays bigger, strong legs and would be my RZ threat guess. After Wednesday's practice, offensive coordinator Gil Haskell said veteran Bobby Engram will start in place of Deion Branch, who is out two games with a mid-foot sprain.
"It was either him or me," Haskell joked.
Engram normally plays in the slot, or inside role, which he will move back into in three- and four-receiver sets.
Two of those years was when Culpepper was dive bombing in MN and came off a career year for him prior, and one was a lot of growing pains in the new Seattle O and supposedly a broken finger. His play has been much much improved since then.Since 2004, Nate Burleson has scored more than 6 fantasy points exactly 4 times. That's 34 games.
It'll have to be the next 2 because Hackett and Branch are both going to be back after the bye. But he had as good a preseason as Burleson IMO so he should get the opportunity to show it. There'll be plenty of 3 WR sets, especially if Alexander keeps running softer than every single ball carrier in college and pro football.I was impressed watching Ben Obomanu. He led the team in targets last week and he had a red zone target in the end zone that was tipped away. I would be surprised if his role doesn't increase in the next few weeks, regardless of who's healthy.
Absolutely. Didn't he cover Jackson during 2005 on the outside between weeks 9-14? He seemed to fill in nicely. Although Jurevicius was having his career year then..Regardless, Engram is undoubtedly better in the slot.I'm a little surprised to see them take Bobby out of his slot role, that's where he excels.
If Pollard is limited/out because of his left leg we're obviously down another chess piece to play. Suddenly we're a fork with only one tong.Pollard didn't practice today, dunno why but he could be a beneficiary of Branch being out if he goes. If not Heller will play and is not really a catching TE, and possibly Weaver if they keep up the "getting tricky" trend.
At this point, beggars can't be choosers eh?And don't forget about moving Wallace around in there. Maybe they will only activate 4 and use Seneca as the 5th.
Called a slobberknocker.Hamlin knocking Stallworth's helmet off. There are some great pics of that hit where you see that the momentum in Stallworth's body has completely stopped but the flesh on his face hasn't. Like being in a strong wind tunnel.
