Question/Idea:

Can we have a 1 round free agent draft prior to the start of our "season?" You'd have to drop a guy from your drafted roster to pick a FA up - and the guy you dropped could be drafted by someone else down the line (which probably wouldn't happen). We could go in reverse order of round 1. It'd be nice for people who get crushed by injuries to at least have a shot a picking up a guy who could help with minutes.

Alternatively we could do the FA draft after we cut our rosters down to 12.

Al Harrington - PF - Washington Wizards.

At this point I'm trying to find minutes like everyone else. "upside" guys that end up getting no run are not a fit for my team just yet. And considering my high number of guys that are already likely to miss time (Westbrook, Nash, Okafor) the more 1k minute players i Can get the better.

PG: Nash

SG: Westbrook

SF: Beal

PF: Ryan Anderson

C: Al Jefferson

Guards: Patrick Beverley

Forwards: Gallinari (injury), Okafor (Inj), Jamison, T. Jones, A. Harrington

Lots of "3 and no D" on this squad.

This was discussed a lot during the first baseball BttF sim We eventually decided there wasn't any fair way of doing it; the talent pool of undrafted players would be way too small.

The only way I could think of would be to go in reverse order of the fantrax season finish. Even then, the quality of talent is likely to drop off considerably after the first couple of picks.

Is there any way to know the sum of minutes played per roster? If so, we could do it in order of least total minutes played to most total minutes played. It'd give a chance to the teams who got hosed the worst to help themselves a little. If we did the FA draft after our initial cutdown there'd be a somewhat larger pool of helpers to choose from.

I also vote no. I'm not sure if anyone didn't have enough minutes last year, but if you don't, trade.
Last year there wasn't a whole lot I could do to get more minutes on my team. Every deal I tried ended up presenting me with offers that actually decreased my minutes available at the positions I most needed them. When your roster gets hit with significant injury you don't really have much in the way of tradable assets to fix the situation.

You should've tried trading with me, I had a ton of crappy minutes I ended up not using.
