REMINDER ON BIDDING (all of this in the OP)

Summary: Each day there will be 6 to 10 players up for auction simultaneously. Each team is allotted $100 in auction funds. Teams can bid up to their available funds for any individual player up for auction. Owners can place bids on multiple players during a bidding cycle, e.g. you can bid $100 on every player on day one. See bid prioritization for more info. No decimal bids -- any decimal will be rounded down to a whole number (i.e. $10.88 will be a $10 bid)Bidding: Send one email per team with all daily bids to WISRUTHROLL@GMAIL.COM. The deadline will be 11:00pm EDT so I can award the bids before the start of the following day.Send email in the player order provided - include clear instruction of your 3 priority players (if you're using them). Be sure and include your FBG name. Example Email:1. Davis 1002. Curry 100 (1st PRIORITY)3. Harden 54. James 65. Westbrook 10 (2nd PRIORITY)6. Durant 15 (3rd PRIORITY)You can prioritize up to three bids per day (optional). These bids will be processed first if an owner has multiple successful bids in a day.Excluded prioritized bids, auctions will be processed in the order of the rankings, e.g. the player ranked #3 will be awarded before player #4. If an owner doesn't have enough funds available due to a player awarded earlier in the day's processing, the bid on the latter player would be invalid.**If you want to void bids after winning a certain player or position, you must include those instructions.Auction tiebreakers:
1. amount of money remaining in budget at the time the player is processed. More=better.
2. dice roll

Where's Mario Hezonja? I thought the whole idea of the auction was to give everyone a shot at the elite players instead of leaving it up to draft order.

Any chance you guys want to breakdown the bidding into tiers? This way not all the big guns sell on the same day? Divide the 72 into tiers of 6, so there's 12 groups that we take from each day?

Day 1: K. Durant, C. Paul, J. Wall, A. Horford, S. Ibaka, K. Love, C. McCollum, R. Rubio, N. Vucevic, T. Ariza, D. Collison, B. Knight

Day 2: S. Curry, K. Towns, H. Whiteside, K. Lowry, D. Favors, J. Valanciunas, I. Thomas, R. Gay, G. Dieng, D. DeRozan, M. Gasol, G. Dragic

Day 3: J. Harden, J. Butler, G. Antetokounmpo, K. Irving, B. Griffin, K. Walker, D. Nowitzki, R. Jackson, S. Adams, G. Hill, R. Gobert, D. Jordan

Day 4: R. Westbrook, P. George, Dray. Green, L. Aldridge, K. Porzingis, T. Harris, M. Conley, R. Rondo, P. Gasol, D. Schroder, Z. LaVine, T. Young

Day 5: A. Davis, L. James, D. Cousins, K. Thompson, E. Bledsoe, V. Olapido, M. Gortat, N. Jokic, G. Hayward, G. Monroe, J. Parker, A. Drummond

Day 6: K. Leonard, D. Lillard, P. Milsap, C. Anthony, B. Lopez, O. Porter, J. Teague, A. Wiggins, N. Noel, D. Gallinari, M. Ellis, N. Batum

REMOVED: Middleton because he's dead and JRue Holiday because he's not gonna play to take care of his wife.

Maybe have every day be anagrams of each player, so you never truly know who you're bidding on.

For example, Day 1: Handrail Woke, Bookseller Wursts, Trenchers Yup, Native Drunk, Harmed Jeans, Soda Navy Hint

Are there scoring rules somewhere? What about turnovers?

I'm told these are the type of questions one would ask in this type of league.
At season's end we will load our teams in a league at whatifsports.com and sim a season.  I encourage you to check it out, you can even draft a sim team and do a sim for free I think for new users?

Here's a noob guide to the sim I wrote a few years ago that some people found helpful:

If you build a logical basketball team, and your players perform well in the season, you'll do fine. That said, here's what everything does in the sim:

Usage: Explained at the link HERE better than I could.

Shooting percentages and turnovers: Are covered under usage.

Minutes: Your players will be allowed to play about the number of minutes they played in real life. If you don't have enough minutes, your players will fatigue, be ineffective, and possibly get injured (there are no random injuries, just fatigue-related ones).

Position Effectiveness: Players who have less than 100% at a position will not perform up to their full capabilities. You'll probably notice that outside of pure point guards and giant oafish centers, most players are 100% at multiple positions, so you have some flexibility.

Assists: Having more of them will positively affect your team's FG%.

Rebounds: Function exactly as you'd expect them to.

Blocks and steals: Players accumulate them at roughly real-life rates, and I assume they cause more missed shots and turnovers for the other team.

Defensive rating: Lowers or raises the FG% of the player he's guarding. Good luck figuring out how to draft players who get good D ratings. Also note that if a player got an 80 or 90 rating exactly, it was probably because he made first or second team all-defense. We're not going to wait for the all-defense teams to be picked, so don't assume a guy who's had a 90 five straight years will get one again.

  1. Draft enough minutes to cover 48 min x 82 games x 5 positions
  2. Don't worry too much about filling specific positions because most players get rated at three spots.
  3. Efficiency and usage rates matter
  4. Rebounding percentages seem to be important
  5. Defense factors in but WIS ratings are kind of suspect
My team won 25 games last year so take @Spartans Rule advice over mine.

I just saw that it's a hybrid. Makes it much easier for someone who knows who LeBron is, and has "heard of" Demarcus Cousins.
