**NBA BTTF V -- GREATEST THREAD IN NBA FORUM HISTORY (1 Viewer)

Might be a little early to start taking limited minute studs but I love Manu in the sim.

Manu Ginobili, G
Strongly considered him, my starting PG last year.  He's gotta fall off a cliff at some point, right? With how good he and how good the Spurs are, maybe not.

Zach LaVine's shot was hot on Monday evening as he scored 30 points on 13-of-20 shots from the floor against the Hornets. He hit 4-of-6 shots from behind the arc while adding four rebounds and an assist to his final line.

:coffee:

I don't think he'll ever fall off a cliff offensively with how crafty he is. Like Andre Miller, he could play well into his 40s on that side of the ball. Unlike Miller, he can still keep up defensively. If they play him 1000-1200 minutes a season and rest him on back to backs, I think he'll stay healthy enough to keep producing for a few more years if he chooses.

9. 10 Tim Frazier, PG, Pelicans

Had a 19.3 PER with New Orleans last year and should be the starting PG for a little bit.

PG Stephen Curry, Tim Frazier
SG Wesley Matthews, Lou Williams
SF Tobias Harris
PF Enes Kanter, Trey Lyles
C Tristan Thompson, Timofey Mozgov

9.11 -- David West, PF

PG  D. Williams, Delly

SG  LaVine, Booker

SF  K. Leonard

PF  Frye, West

C  Gobert, M. Gasol

Much happier with my 3 point shooting in this iteration.  Gobert and Kawhi should be lock-down type defenders.  Wanted some floor spacing with Frye and West for when the two towers aren't out there.  Kawhi has been 99% at the 4 these past two seasons, maybe he gets 100 and I can have a fun smaller lineup with Williams/Lavine/Booker/Kawhi/Gobert.

As always though, half of these guys will be dead by December.

Tre laughs at the stretch 4...or all power forwards for that matter.

Yeah, sort of happens when you end up with Gasol and Gobert (and 3 of  your 4 on the last day).  As I said at the time, if I could have ordered it somehow to get Jabari and Gobert, that would have been preferable.  Still, think I have some decent 4 minutes there with Frye and West... and Kawhi and Gasol were 99% and Gobert was 100%(???) last year.

So, you hate my team again?

hate's such a strong word.  Let's say I don't love the injury history of some of your guys.  I like them all by themselves, just think you might have a minutes problem down the line.

we all have a minutes problem down the line.  The length of the line is the variable

Yeah I know...after past experiences, I've tried to lower my accpetable minutes vol.  Minutes in general are more valuable for us than they appear based off the WIS rankings.

Yo Mama selects:

9.13 - Terrence Ross, G/F Tor

I was hoping to pair Frazier with Holiday (or Mahinmi with Gortat), but alas.

I figure all I can do is take guys that aren't hurt at this very moment, like say, Joakim Noah.  Then just pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Blake's also 100% at C and we all know how healthy he is :oldunsure:

Truth be told, I didn't expect to win him, so I've been throwing spaghetti against the wall since then.

Raptors 905 coach David Gale spent almost every day in the gym training with Ross this summer, and apparently the work is beginning to pay off. Ross has reportedly improved his approach, focus and motor, and the two spent time working on Ross drawing contact and finishing the play. The goal is for Ross to get to the free throw line more, but the proof will be in the production given Ross has a career average of 0.8 FTA per game. Although Toronto is very encouraged and Ross appears to be more mature, we'll need to see the work translate to in-game situations in order to believe the improvement is real and meaningful. For what it's worth, Ross has studied Jamal Crawford's game extensively and spent the majority of the summer working on the "mental side of the game."

Could be huge!

Yo Mama's Team

PG - Jeff Teague, Jrue Holiday

SG - Will Barton, Terrence Ross

SF - Chandler Parsons, Mo Harkless

PF - Lebron James

C - Marcin Gortat, Jusuf Nurkic

and I can't believe you are disparaging the great Wiggins...of course everyone on our Wolves will be great.
I'm just starting to think that LaVine has the bigger upside.  His shooting/scoring is already legit...neither have shown to be great defenders yet.  Just thinking LaVine could pass Wiggins as the "#2" guy to KAT.

I'm pretty sure you mean 1B to KAT's 1A with Wiggins being the 1C.  But yes, he's playing very nicely.
