NBA BTTF VI Draft - DONE! Regular Season OVAH. Commence trade talk and six month wait for WIS rosters (1 Viewer)

Perfect, I'll be out of pocket for the next several hours.  Good luck!

@Koya...I'm thinking Round 18 FFA tomorrow morning?
I came in to say the same thing. Let's make 11 eastern 8am west coast, that way it's not too late in the day and not right as folks get to work out west.

Assuming that's good I'll go ahead an update the thread title.

BTW, last year I got Mike Muscala in the 16th round (played a minor role, but needed his minutes every now and then, and they weren't terrible).

My Free for all was Cheick Diallo, who barely played in the real NBA.

BTW, Luol Deng was a 5th rounder last year.  :X

Not a great time for me personally, need to get the kid to school, get to work, etc.

Would 1PM / 10AM be better?  I was wondering is it tougher before the 9am bell or just after... maybe let #### settle.

Plus, its the 18th round, so if someone can't make it at the buzzer, it's not that big a deal.

Pretty sure my 18th rounder (Skal Labissiere) made my roster last year. I didn't need lots of minutes and his per minute numbers were worth it for me to keep him.

Keep the the dream alive!

Hell if I know.
It's ok. Just take someone not yet drafted. PLENTY OF TALENT AVAILABLE.

I was at a party this past saturday with some dude who played for the Green Wave just after they got back from their death penalty like 20 years ago. He scrapped around Europe, Israel and Turkish leagues for a decade or so.  Probably still available.

Jodie Meeks.  I updated the doc.  Interesting how both the participants in this draft (deleting my players) and the real world (injuring sweet innocent Rodney McGruder) are trying to sabotage me now.

I didn't realize you drafted Brogdon as a starter...i might need that like back

He may or may not be... it's hard to just define positions by PG/SG.   The fact is a starter at BEST gets you 30-35 minutes, so my guards will be Teague, Brogdon and Barton, with Warren filling a few min here and there as necessary.

One of the reasons I went with Brogdon when I did was his ability to fill the remaining minutes at point, but he is also efficient enough to be a non-scoring heavy #2.  In a lineup with KAT and Labs or Enes Kanter possibly at PF and Warren or Beasley at SF, Brogdon's profile is a better fit (IMO) than someone that is going to take shots from guys who all have 55%+ eFG (and also shoot well at the line, if not very well).

Also, if things go well, having a young upside guy like Brogdon gives a chance for trade bait for a more traditional two, if thats even needed with Barton and Warren.

Not that I overthink these things. But that's seriously how I look at all these drafts/sims... how to fill out a roster, some hedge for injuries and potential trade bait at valuable positions (Center and PG especially) and how the pieces will fit together.

Last thing I want is a decent shooter chucking it up at SG when I want KAT to get as many opps as possible.

My starting lineup against Gator:

PG: Teague

SG: Warren or Barton

SF: Labs or Beasley

PF: Enes

C  : KAT

I'm just looking for likes here, people.  Plus, it's all about the cobbling, not who stats. THERE IS NO I IN TEAM (unless my HS football coach tried to spell it)

Darrell Arthur F/C Nuggets

I actually rostered him last year because of his 3pt shooting. I don't expect him to have a role with the Nuggets, but he could be a trade candidate.

I'm running out of guys to draft.  Deleting players seems like a smart move.  Maybe I'll delete KAT and take him next.

17th round deep cutz:

Damyean Dotson, SG Knicks

The Kyle Kuzma of the Knicks, and I could use a 10th SG on my roster.
