Don't you think most of the Linsanity #### was because he was in New York? Lin isn't going to be popular enough overseas to get voted into the All Star game and he isn't going to sell a bunch of jerseys because he isn't that good and he isn't Yao Ming.
$50 he starts in the All Star game.$50 he's in the top-10 in jersey sales on the last day of the regular season.

Interested?
I'll take you up on the AS game bet.
Deal - :spitshake:
Here is the voting as of two weeks ago, they announce the All-Star starters will be announced on Thursday. Looks like our bet is being drawn out to the final day. Backcourt: Kobe Bryant (LAL) 1,177,456, Chris Paul (LAC) 651,893, Jeremy Lin (Hou) 605,624, James Harden (Hou) 337,585, Russell Westbrook (OKC) 268,558, Steve Nash (LAL) 202,274, Tony Parker (SA) 128,966, Ricky Rubio (Min) 112,352, Stephen Curry (GS) 97,761, Manu Ginobili (SA) 84,564

Lin is about 50,000 behind Paul but I could see Lin's following making a big push to get him in. Regardless of if he gets in, its disgusting to me that a player of Lin's caliber can draw that many votes, even though his inclusion into the game probably wouldn't be the worst we've seen.

I think Kobe having almost twice as many votes as Chris Paul is just as disgusting.

I have a hard time believing the Heat will be able to beat the Bulls or Indiana in the 2nd round this year. This team looks so lethargic and Bosh at the 5 is just terrible.

Miami has LeBron, the Pacers and Bulls don't.
Will Lebron also be able to guard Ray Allen's man along with his own? I think Ray Ray thought it was going to be all wine and roses, he didn't realize he would have to still try hard on defense. Heat don't make it out of the 2nd round this season.

I'm sure the Heat are concerned with Hinrich/Nate Robinson/Rip Hamilton/Lance Stephenson beating them.....Hey! Don't sleep on Belinelli!

Lets wait til the playoff seedings are made. Would be silly to make a bet now, as injuries/trades can still happen. I just don't see this Miami team being able to magically turn it on in the playoffs and beat the Bulls or Indy in round 2. This playing without a true big will come back to bite them. I don't think Bron can repeat what he did last playoffs.

So if there's no big trades/injuries to Miami, you're up for a wager? Or is it also dependent on them facing either Chicago or current #3 seed Indiana in Round 2? Are all bets off if they draw Brooklyn, Boston or New York in Round 2?Just trying to figure out exactly how far back you're walking your prediction.

I'm not really making an argument for anybody but my list of guards ahead of Lin would easily be 20 players long.

Hey Rockets fans, are you enjoying the Clipper game?
It was a good game. The clippers are a better team and the rockets are bad against the west. I wish they'd win games like this one but not nearly as much as when they lose to teams like the sixers.

Looks like the decision to put Kobe on the opposing teams best backcourt player regardless of matchup is paying huge dividends. First he shut down Kyrie, now he's shutting down Jennings.

Uh, yeah.

Dwight Howard is finally starting to play the way I had hoped for. Stat line tonight, 27 pts and 13 rebounds early in the 4th. And he looks dominant.

If/when Kobe gets another 1st team all defense, it's because of stuff like this. Lakers decide to flip the defensive script, and put Kobe on the best frontcourt player. Results?- Kyrie: 15 pts, 7-15 FGs, 7 assists, 2 reb, 3 TOs- Jennings: 12 pts, 4-14 FGs, 1 assist, 1 reb, 2 TOs"KOBE HATERS......MOUNT UP!"

He can still defend on-ball very well when he wants to. Nobody's disputing that. But he's down defensively overall this year, especially off-ball.

Brandon Jennings was held to 12 points on 4-of-14 shooting by Bryant, and Milwaukee's young star emerged from Staples Center with newfound respect for the fifth-leading scorer in NBA history.

"I don't think I've ever seen anybody put that much pressure on a point guard full court for a whole game," Jennings said. "It was probably the best defense somebody's ever played on me since I've been in the league -- just constantly putting pressure on me, touching me, hitting me at all times in the game. He wouldn't let me just catch the ball easy, and I wasn't able to get the ball a lot, so it was pretty difficult."
