*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (3 Viewers)

too many spurs are looking to the refs to make the call. you have to play through guys....
Spurs looking to calls is laughable. Only reason they are in the game is because this turned into a contest in who can be the most physical. 2nd half reminds me of when the NBA became ugly to watch.

HUGE :excited:

Fun story from last year.... had a room at the Westin in Memphis (across from fedex forum) when OKC was in playing the Grizzlies. Happened to be on the top floor (NBA Floor where everything is taller and all visiting teams stay).

After the thunder beat the grizz there was a helluva party on our floor. Whole place was cheeched out... girls lined up 4-5 deep at every door.

HArdin was walking around wasted. Good times. He asked me if I had some purple drank (was drinking grape pedialyte to "get right" before crashing after a ngiiht of BBQfest). Laughed and told him what it was. He laughed as well. Cool guy.

Man those girls were lined up and heading into rooms one at a time though. Good times.

Can Reggie Miller be any stupider? "Great job by Pop calling a quick time out so they forget to review it". WTF???
@netw3rk: Reggie, the refs won't forget about the play if Pop calls a timeout. This isn't "Memento," the refs aren't goldfish.

This is on Scott Brooks if they lose. They are losing the lead and Durant is getting no touches. Pathetic.
Well, Westbrook is a shoot-first ball hog.
That and durant is the worst star off ball in the league. Jackson is shadowing him and durant cant get away.
Lots of times he doesn't even try. He just stands in the corner or out top. If they didn't have Westbrook they wouldn't even get shots up on some of these possessions.

HUGE win for the Thunder tonight. SA goes from 10-0 and people talking sweep through the whole playoffs to likely out in this round.

Exactly. These guys are human, and they get tired. Durant can't shoot every time the Thunder have the ball, especially when he's turned up his effort defensively and on the glass.

It's such a strange series to me. If they could stop the TOs then they'd win these games. OKC is making them work harder, of course, on offense but these TOs have been the difference in the games. It's not like OKC is shutting them down but SA can't seem to handle the pressure defense from OKC.

Well ####...

Shaping up to be one of the biggest choke jobs of the Duncan era. I have to admit I've seen this particular story before.I'm not going to count them out just yet because it would break my heart, but damn it's hard to watch them embarrass themselves like this.
If SAS loses this series, I hope it isn't thought of as a choke job. Both teams were pretty much equals on paper. The home team won the first four games of the series. I know SAS made it look easy in Game 2 and were on a big winning streak coming into the series. But SAS got outplayed through most of Game 1 and still pulled off the win, and OKC needed Durant to go into NBA JAM "On Fire" mode to win Game 4. OKC was a really good team all season and perceived as a title contender all year. SAS didn't look like a title contender until a couple weeks after the trade deadline.
It's the conference finals. Thre are no weak teams left. All 4 teams are playing the best basketball at this stage. It drives me nuts hearing so many pundits talk about easy roads, blah blah blah. These are the 4 teams that have beaten whatever team was in front of them. These are the 4 teams that have earned the right to play in the conference finals. You only control what is in front of you. The Bulls had a major injury...but that is not controllable and is part of the game. So on to tonights pivotal game 5 in Miami. The Heat have Chris Bosh (a big injury that seems to have been swept under the rug by the mass media and the gall of all of them to feel that Bosh coming back would hurt the teams chemistry...what a freaking joke that thought process is) listed as day to day. It is the expected we will see him check in at the scorers table at some point in the first quarter and test his lower abdominal strain. We need Bosh back to space the floor and ease the double and sometimes triple teams Wade has been getting. Chalmers continues to step up and be counted this post season. I am so happy this kid has finally arrived as a quality NBA starter. He has been a huge factor in keeping us in games in this series.I fully expect the Heat to play lock down, turnover causing defense tonight to create tons of lay ups and dunks. That is our game. Defense, and easy baskets. I do not see the Celtics shooting the ball at the torrid pace they did in the first half of game 4. I fully expect to see Wade and Lebron at the line a lot tonight. Home court will be a major factor as always with the Jeckyl and Hyde act known as NBA referees.Heat win big tonight.

Westbrook back to his old boneheaded self after a great Game 4... Not sure why he can't figure out who the best player on his own team is.

Nice win by OKC... I think they close it out at home

Man a week ago people were talking about the Spurs as maybe one of the greatest teams ever. Now one game away from elimination.
