As much as i love hating on the Lakers, no one wants to face them round one, dont kid yourself. The Spurs would much much rather face the Jazz or Rockets in round 1 than the Lakers with all those stars. I would actually bet on the Lakers come playoff time if they can sneak in.

They are tied in the loss column and they have two games left against each other. Having said that Hollinger's playoff odds formula has the Lakers at 32.7 and Dallas at 13.4. Interestingly enough the Warriors' odds are now lower than Houston's. They have Houston at 97.2%. Looks like I'm going to owe Abe $50.

While the Spurs and Thunder and Clippers are probably hoping for a team like Utah in round 1, no one is going to sit their starters the last week of the season to tank out of the 1 seed to avoid a matchup with the Kobes.

I'm actually in your corner here. In fact (shameful confession) I kinda don't mind Kobe these days. He's pretty awesome on Twitter. And from a basketball standpoint he's having a remarkable season, especially considering his age and mileage.But whatever he's instilling in his team these days ain't working. Probably thinking of the Knicks series is 92-93 since Jordan losing 2 in a row was a rarity and they were almost always still tied or ahead in the series when it happened outside of that one. But the Bulls were a 57 win 2 seed that year. Not a 10 seed hoping to back into the playoffs.

Ty Lawson is scoring 19.5ppg and 7.2 apg with 50/48/80 shooting percentages (60.5 TS%) so far this year. After a slow start to the season, shooting just over 40% in Oct/Nov/Dec, he is playing at an unbelievable level. Even as they are getting hammered by the Wizards tonight, hes got 19 and 10 going into the fourth. On another note, I reeeeeeeeally hope that McGee is moved in the offseason. He is unbelievably stupid on the court. He ends up being a very productive player because hes so athletic and has surprisingly good hands but defensively he is constantly out of position and making ridiculous plays. It would be my dream that they could use him in a trade that could land them a solid defensive big man that could hit a jumper. I'm not sure how many of those kinds of centers exist though.

Suns should just start the Morris Brothers already. PJ Tucket,Scola,Gortat are dreadful in the frontcourt. At least the Morris Bros. have upside. My other thought is the Wizards need to stop winning. Ty Lawson is scoring 19.5ppg and 7.2 apg with 50/48/80 shooting percentages (60.5 TS%) so far this year. After a slow start to the season, shooting just over 40% in Oct/Nov/Dec, he is playing at an unbelievable level. Even as they are getting hammered by the Wizards tonight, hes got 19 and 10 going into the fourth. On another note, I reeeeeeeeally hope that McGee is moved in the offseason. He is unbelievably stupid on the court. He ends up being a very productive player because hes so athletic and has surprisingly good hands but defensively he is constantly out of position and making ridiculous plays. It would be my dream that they could use him in a trade that could land them a solid defensive big man that could hit a jumper. I'm not sure how many of those kinds of centers exist though.

Against a Portland team that'd lost 6 straight going into the game..Golden State has 4 more home games remaining than the Lakers.Houston has 2 more home games remaining than the Lakers.Lakers are 9-18 on the road. Statistically, pretty similar.And Felton is a decent defender. I wouldn't want either of them starting for my team but they are both nice backups for 18 mpg.
