He is the most humble player. He is quiet. I think this is why he is under the radar. Other good players draw attention to themselves. Timmy is just doing his job and doesn't talk much.

This is about the stupidest thing I've seen in this thread. When does Duncan EVER talk? He only gives interviews when the league forces him too. This sounds like a seriouss case of sour grapes (for whatever reason).

ROckets run out of the gym. Simmons made the point that the THunder were a bad matchup because they play the same was as Houston, they just do it much better. Absolutely true - the Rockets weren't able to get to the rim and weren't hitting from outside. Game Over. It was a bit of a miracle they had it tied in the 2nd considering how bad they were playing. Parsons, Harden, and Lin were 2-15 from deep. Oof. OKC shoots 53% from the field and you get a 29 point victory.

That's what happened in LA initially, but I believe the outcry was so large that eventually some of the providers caved. Ultimately the fees just get passed on to the customers and cable gets more expensive for everyone. Yay!

The time warner/lakers thing started this season. Not all the service providers had a deal in place at the start of this year, but after a game or two they all payed up. Now there's a $2 "local sports fee" line on my monthly DirecTv bill, which hadn't been there before. So now I guess I'm paying $48 a year to see Laker games on t.v.

Not sure you can second guess the defense at that point. Yeah, it would have been nice to push him further outside but there was a little contact as it was and you really don't want to foul in that situation. The game's best point guard made a really tough shot against good defense. That's great basketball all around.

Marc Gasol will be named Defensive Player of the Year, according to multiple reports.
It's well-deserved for Gasol and a win for those who are a fan of analytics. Gasol's defensive statistics aren't eye-popping by any means, but his presence in the paint and the way he's able to defend can't be understated. He is the Grizzlies' most important player and it's nice to see the big man get recognition in the form of the award.

He sure was knocking the crud out of everyone near him last night. He was doing as good a job of sticking with Paul off switches as any big man I've seen - and better than the Laker guards ever have.
