On the Monday after NFL week 1 that featured huge upsets, big injuries and Ray Rice the NCAA finds the perfect time to sneak one by.

on Monday, the NCAA announced that its executive committee has restored Penn State’s postseason eligibility, effective immediately, and next season the team will return to a full complement of 85 scholarships, which accelerates an easing of the sanctions already made last year. These changes are based on recommendations made in a report from George Mitchell, the school’s external athletic integrity monitor. Mitchell, who is responsible for monitoring Penn State’s efforts to enact recommendations made in the Freeh Report, cited the school’s progress since the sanctions were handed down two years ago, including the formation of a comprehensive compliance program.

I feel like it never made sense to punish Penn State for something that happened so long ago.

I do, however, feel that any trace of JoePa and what they accomplished back then should be wiped from the books. Sandusky is an animal and JoePa is a piece of crap for looking the other way.

Umm...no. Punish Sandusky to the hilt. Curley and what's-his-face deserve your scorn more than JoePa does.

Remember when we thought the NCAA would do the right thing and give Penn State the death penalty?

Yeah, me neither.
