I'm running a 10-team Fantasy Football League through ESPN, 30 dollar buy-in, winner take all. Snake Format draft is TONIGHT (Monday) at 9:45 EST. We're looking for a good manager or two to round off this competitive league.
Standard settings, aside for these 3 divergences:
1) Each team will be required to start two Quarterbacks. Eli Manning, the best Quarterback in New York, threw for over 4,000 yards and 30 Touchdowns last year -- yet, he was a borderline fantasy starter in 10-team leagues. In a dual-Quarterback league he’ll be an above average end to a striking tandem. So long as you’re not stuck with Tavaris Jackson and Carson Palmer, this should be a welcome upgrade. Useful, mid-level Quarterbacks have languished on benches or waivers for too long.
2) To go along with the RB/WR flex position, a WR/TE flex position has been added. You may start as many as 4 Wide Receivers, or as few as 2. Naturally, you may start either 1 or 2 Tight Ends, depending on how you wish to play it.
3) The D/ST scoring has been weighted towards Yards Against and Points Against, as opposed to flukey, less predictable big play statistics. The New England Patriots, who were the 25th ranked defense, finished third in standard fantasy leagues last year. And it did not end there. When it comes to Defense, there is no consistent correlation between real life and fantasy success. This year, there will be a bias towards the Defenses that leave the chain-luggers lolling. As you may imagine, D/ST output will in turn be more easy to forecast. In the draft, shoot for D/ST once you’ve laid a QB/RB/WR foundation.
Let me know if you're interested or have any questions. Thanks!
