need help with a smartphone problem (1 Viewer)

I have a samsung galaxy exhibit.

In my office I have WiFi. I connect to that because I dont get 4G service. I can use the net on the phone but I cant make calls or text.

It just says I dont have service.

Occasionally I will recieve a text several hours after a person sent it. Everyone else can make calls while onbthe wifi except me.

Why is this happening?

Also, and not meaning this as an ###, but call your cell provider for support if you haven't. I had an issue around wifi and calls and it turns out some OS update on the phone messed it up and it required a manual reset. I'd never have gotten it solved asking around on the internet, but they knew immediately what it was.

Will a reset wipe my data?

Not the type they had me do. It wasn't a whole phone reset back to factory, it was resetting something to do with the networking. It wasn't something you'd be able to initiate without support walking you through the code that does it.

Not saying yours is the same problem, just saying they might have run into your problem before and know the fix right away.
