Need help with keeper picks (1 Viewer)

Play in a 12-team keeper league and we can keep 4-6 keepers. We don't have a time limit on how long we can keep them nor do we lose the draft round for which they were picked the previous season. I just made a trade where I sent Lamar Miller and got back Kelce, Martavis Bryant, Mark Ingram and a 7th round pick (yes, it was a nice swap).  My roster is as follows:

QB  - Russell Wilson

RB - Ingram, Lacy, Blount, Duke Johnson, Jr.

WR - Kelvin Benjamin, Edelman, Bryant, Parker, Lee, Tyreek Hill

TE - Kelce, Reed, Graham, Henry

K - Santos

DEF - Cowboys

People don't always hang on to QBs because they pick them up to draft later. Even Brees was available last year. Was thinking about keeping Bryant, Hill, Ingram, Kelce, and Reed but would really like to trade away Reed or Kelce for a WR. I draft in the first half of each round (we don't do snake drafts, it's just worst ranked team to best team each round based on previous season's results). I believe I draft 8th in each round.

I do have one owner who has floated offering me an 8th round pick for Kelvin Benjamin and then an owner who offered Doug Martin and his 12th round pick for my 7th round pick.

Scoring rules and lineup requirements....???  roster limits (if any)...  need more information.  Just on value, I would keep Kelce, Henry, Wilson, Benjamin (yes, over Bryant...  I don't  trust him to violate another rule and get suspended permanently, thus not worth the risk), Jordan, Hill or Graham.   So, based on this, I would definitely move a TE for a WR.  Jordan will get you more, so move him.  and if you can get QB, I would keep Hill and grab your QB when you can based on your league's reputation.

So, your deal was still good as Kelce has more value than Miller by himself.  But I would seriously not consider keeping the pieces from that trade with what you have.

and to the other two offers, I would pass.

after reading Snorkelson's response... I completely missed Parker.  With your league's reputation on QBs, I would keep Parker over Wilson. (Thanks Snorkelson).  So:  Kelce, Jordan, Hunter, Parker, Benjamin, Hill (or Graham) would be my keepers (without the scoring info).

What happens if you keep 4 rather than 6? Do you pick earlier or do you make it up at the end. As it is I'd keep

kelce

reed

hill

bryant

benji

parker

but I wouldn't feel great about it, lacking blue chip wr/rb. Id treat it a little more like redraft- ideally you have 6 starters you can keep. I wouldn't get too caught up holding prospects over vets (I'd make a case for Edelman over Parker). Maybe keep lacy if it's start 2 rb or you'll likely be really thin there. I'm ok with moving Benjamin, but I would like it better if it was benji/7th for like a 3rd or 4th. 7-8th rd with all these keepers is more like a 13th, so it's really a flier or a backup qb or something, you can get better for him.

I would try moving a te or packaging te/wr for a solid rb option.

I am in the process of sending away Jimmy Graham and Julian Edelman for Alshon Jeffery and a number 9 draft pick.  It's a .5 PPR league. We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, Flex, K, DEF and have 7 bench spots. Would like to move one of Reed/Kelce for an RB if I can. Stuck on value of Martavis Bryant and Tyreek Hill. Not sure what I they will do this year but the upside is there.

This is a tough situation for you.  How long have you been in this league?  Clearly the Lacy pick has caused you quite a problem as I don't see anyone on your roster who I would project being worth a 1st or 2nd round pick in a 12 team 1/2ppr league for this season.

I love the trade to get you Jeffery!

Kelce and Reed are your best keeper options and if you can trade one, that is a great plan.  You can clearly use both in your flex spot, but to your roster, finding another skill player is likely more valuable.  I would trade which ever of these two brings more back in a deal.

After Jeffery, Kelcey and Reed, my 4th guy would be Hill personally.  Good luck, keep working those trades.  I would trade almost any 2 of the people you have to get a top 20 player.  If you can trade Bryant and Reed to get someone like Gurley or Cooper, I would jump all over it.  In a keeper league, my strategy would be to get a few top skill players even if I had to give up everything else just to get them and worry about filling holes in the draft or with free agents.

GL!

Thanks. I think Kelce, Reed, Hill, and Jeffery are my best keeper options if I keep just 4 and then I would try and use my first round pick on a RB like Mixon or best RB available. I feel like Hill and Martavis have great upside but great risk depending on target share and off-field stuff. I would love to get Gurley if possible but I would have to check with his owner. The owner with Cooper wants to hang on to him even though he's absolutely loaded at WR (Evans, OBJ, Cooper, and Julio Jones).

The guy with Gurley has a roster of:

QB: Newton, Winston

RB: Elliott, Gurley, Kelley, Dixon, Abdullah, Riddick, James White

WR: Pryor, Adams, Matthews, Hurns, Tyler Boyd, Enunwa, Adam Theilen

TE: Brate

Looks like he plans to keel Elliott, Gurley, Pryor, and Adams right now. Anything you might suggest for a trade for Gurley with him?

So I had some fun with this. I couldn't decide how many keepers I want to keep. I was planning on keeping 4, and could then pick as early as the 5th round (1st round of draft picks as 1st 4 keeper picks count as rounds 1-4). Last night as part of a 3-team trade, I sent Travis Kelce, one of my 7th round picks (I have two), and my 8th round pick and received Brandin Cooks, Doug Martin, a 12th, and a 14th round pick.

Today, I sent my 5th round pick and Jordan Reed to another team for Jay Ajayi and a 17th rounder (last round).

My roster looks like the following now:

QB - Wilson

RB - Ajayi, Martin, Ingram, Lacy, Blount, Duke Johnson

WR - Jeffery, Cooks, Benjamin, Hill, Martavis Bryant, Lee, DeVante Parker

TE - Henry

K - Santos

DEF - Cowboys

I plan to keep 6 keepers now: Ajayi, Jeffery, Cooks, Martin, HIll, Bryant

Considering quarterback depth, I can let go of Wilson and pick up someone like Mariota who I think has Top 5 potential this year. I would still like to potentially trade guys like Ingram, Lacy, Blount, Benjamin, and maybe Hill or Bryant for picks if I can. I thought I'd take a chance here and go after a guy who I think can be a stud in Ajayi and I've gotten better at the WR position. Any thoughts on who'd you'd keep if you kept 6 from my roster?

for one, I am not keeping Martin or Bryant.  Based on value, I would not trade Henry for either of these two.  I can find multiple RBs of Martin's value.  I would look for a better RB.  I would package both and add Hill or Benjamin to get a running back.  I am not sure if that would work though.

As your roster sits, I would keep:  Ajayi, Jeffery, Cooks, Henry, Parker and Benjamin (or Hill, but value with Benjamin).
