I have to chose 3 LBs and 3 DBs to keep, and I am having a difficult time making some of these decisions. Here is the league settings:

Each Sack 3

Interception Return TD 6

Fumble Return TD 6

Blocked Punt or FG return for TD 6

Blocked Punt, PAT or FG 2

Each Interception 2

Each Fumble Recovered 2

Each Fumble Forced 2

Each Safety 2

Every Assisted Tackle 0.5

Every Solo Tackle 1

Passes Defensed 1

For LBs, I have to choose 3 out of Derrick Brooks, Zach Thomas, Brandon Moore, Andra Davis, and James Farrior. I am leaning towards Farrior, Brooks, and Thomas. Is this the best route for me to go?

For DBs, I have to choose 3 out of Terrance McGee, Jermaine Phillips, Rodney Harrison, Keith Lewis, and Bob Sanders. I am leaning towards McGee, Harrison, and Sanders, but am uncertain.

Any help or confirmation on which direction to go would be extremely helpful. Thanks for any help!

Without knowing your offensive scoring system, I'd guess that IDPs aren't particularly valuable at 1 per tackle/3 per sack. I'd also be curious what your 2007 outlook and plan is -- i.e. are you competing for a title or building -- but my default approach would be this.1. Keep any guy with stud potential over a two year time frame.2. Keep upside over decent production.3. Keep youth over age.All five LBs have question marks to some extent. In order of 2007 expected production, I'd rank them Thomas, Davis, Brooks, Farrior, Moore. None of them are guaranteed to stay in their current positions in 2008. I think I'd keep the top three and let Farrior and Moore go.At DB, Sanders is a risky keeper but also has the most upside so I'd keep him and hope for the best. Phillips and Lewis are not guaranteed to start Week 1. Harrison and McGee don't hold too much upside in the short or long term. I think I'd keep Harrison as he's very likely to play if he can stay healthy. Then decide whether you'd rather bet on Phillips (good upside until he's replaced) or McGee. And be ready to cycle some players at this position like it looks like you did last year to some extent.Good luck.

I think you are right on with your choices. Harrison and Brooks' ages are worrisome, so if you are a contender, go for it. If you are rebuilding, go with Davis and Phillips. I'm a big KLewis fan, but word is they want MLewis/Roman to get the first shots at starting so Keith can concentrate on special teams, where he's awesome. IMO, KLewis>>>Roman, so we'll see.
