Millions and Billions of TrillionsWill they bring it back for billions and billions of times?
Yeah, he should do something like Neil deGrasse Tyson's Punchout instead.I like Neil deGrasse Tyson, and I will watch it, but Cosmos should be Carl Sagan.
I didn't realize Mike Tyson's kid was on DeGrasse Jr. High.I like Neil deGrasse Tyson, and I will watch it, but Cosmos should be Carl Sagan.
Who's narrating?Fox Sunday night, Nat Geo Monday night?
They ran a different preview and it does look awesome.
I think they are going to make an effort to live up to the standing of the original monumental series.
Outstanding narrator choice.
It's really gone downhill since season 4.So looking forward to this. I hope it does well. I would much rather see things like this than things like the Housewives of Outer Mongolia season 6.

I watched an episode of the original series on Netflix a while back after a visit to my local horticulturist. I personally would not recommend this approach. It's a little overwhelming. This looks awesome. Remember watching with my parents, I wanted that dandelion seed ship thing that Sagan cruised around in.
Will be watching for sure, may have to visit one of Washington's new special horticultural shops to enhance the experience.

With all the science porn already on television (it's pretty much all my wife DVRs), I have a hard time believing this will feel as unique as it did when I was a kid.
Tyson has a way of breaking stuff down that is reminiscent of Sagan. He makes things understandable. Plus this is on "regular" television. Not PBS or cable. It will get a lot more eyeballs than a lot of stuff that is out there. Some of it may be rehash for those of us who geek out to this stuff but for a lot of viewers they are going to be hearing it for the first time. I expect this thing to cause big waves and be boycotted, the works. With all the science porn already on television (it's pretty much all my wife DVRs), I have a hard time believing this will feel as unique as it did when I was a kid.
I'll definitely be watching but I wonder how much this will differentiate itself from shows like The Universe, Through the Wormhole, Curiosity, etc. It seems like they have a lot of this covered.
My daughter has already cleared space on the DVR for the series. She was blown away by the Cosmic Calendar when I introduced her to Cosmos.Very much looking forward to this. He is one of the best science guys in media today and it looks like from the previews they aren't holding back in the effects department. My son is excited too as he loves this stuff.
Yeah, but Sagan is dead so Harvard got the last laugh. All the Sagan episodes are on today, what an amazing show. I remember these when I was a kid, and I find these shows very interesting and very well done.
One nice little nugget about Sagan was that he was denied tenure at Harvard.
SUCK IT HARVARD!
So that is what is meant by organic soup....The origin of the plurality of universes was the Gang Bang.
