Keepers will cost their their previous year's salary (either amount drafted or amount picked up off FAAB wiavers) plus $5. Here's the link if you're interested, let me know if you have any questions!

Just changed the draft date to 8/20/16 @ 7pm pacific so that we're drafting a bit closer to the start of the season.

We've got 5 teams so far, 7 spots still open!

5 teams left, here is the league constitution for anyone interested.

League Overview

Welcome to the $100 Dynasty Auction League (super creative name, right?). This is a 12-team dynasty league started in 2016. Teams will have the ability to keep as many players from year to year as they like as long as their roster stays within the $200 salary cap.

League Financing

The annual buy-in to this league is $100 from each team. A deadline will be set each year a week or so before the draft to leave enough time to replace any non-paying managers. The $100 buy in will be paid into our league fund on leaguesafe.com. The payouts will be allocated by the commissioner at the end of the season once approved by a majority of the teams in the league.

100% of league fees will be paid out in the following manner:

1st place= $600

2nd place= $300

3rd place= $100

Regular Season High Points= $70

Weekly High Score= $10 ($130 total)

League Setup

The league will consist of 12 different teams, broken into four divisions of three teams each. The schedule will be randomly generated, with each team playing every other team at least once in head-to-head match-up. Teams will also play their division opponents an additional time for a 13-game regular season.

After the completion of the regular season all division winners will be awarded a playoff spot along with the next 3 highest ranking teams. The top two division winners will receive a bye in week 14 into the semifinals in week 15 while seeds 3-6 play for spot in the semifinals in week 15. The winners of the semifinal games in week 15 will play in week 16 for the championship.

Rosters and Lineups

Rosters in the league consist of 18 players from any NFL team. There are no positional limits, owners are fee to roster as many players from any position as they like. Each team will also have 2 IR spots where they can roster any player deemed IR eligible by Yahoo.

The league will hold an annual auction draft where each team is allotted $200 to fill their 18 team roster. The bidding order for the draft will be determined randomly by Yahoo when the draft room opens. All drafted players will have a salary equal to the amount that they were drafted for.

Free agency will be conducted using a Free Agency Acquisition Budget (FAAB) of $200. Any player picked up off waivers using FAAB dollars will have a salary equal to the amount of FAAB dollars paid. All players with a salary (drafted for picked up with FAAB dollars) will maintain their salary unless they are dropped and clear waivers. Once a player clears waivers their salary resets to $0. Any player picked up as a free agent will have a salary of $0.

Keepers

A deadline will be set prior to the draft each season where all teams are required to select their keepers for the year. The date will be set after the payment deadline and before the draft. Every player can be kept for their salary from the prior season plus $5. If a player was drafted for $20 in year one, they would cost $25 in year 2. If a player was picked up off waivers with $40 in year 1 they would cost $45 in year 2. If a player was picked up as a free agent (including ALL players even drafted players and players previously picked up off waivers with FAAB dollars) in year 1 they would cost $5 in year 2. A team may keep as many players as they want as long as they have enough salary to fill their roster a the draft.

Trades

Managers have the right and responsibility to improve their roster through trades. In a trade, both managers believe that they are getting the better side of the deal. Therefore, a trade is not collusive or unfair just because you prefer one side. If the validity of a trade is questioned, the commissioner may ask one or both managers to explain how their team benefits from the transaction. Trades may be disallowed if one or both managers are unable to provide a reasonable explanation (according to the commissioner) of how the trade improves their team.

When two managers agree to a trade, it will be submitted to the commissioner for a two-day review period (except on Friday). Trades accepted on a Friday will be processed for that week (late Saturday evening). Trades accepted on Saturday will not be processed until the following week. The review period is largely for league managers to have a chance to lodge a complaint regarding any trades. During the review time, you may file a protest with the commissioner if you feel that the trade involves collusion. Civil debate on the league message board regarding pending trades is welcome and encouraged.

New Managers

Hopefully our league will be comprised of committed managers that player every year, however there may be instances where a manager can no longer play and they may abandon their team. To make sure that the league is able to find new managers for abandoned teams new managers will only be required to pay $50 in their first season. Unfortunately this will decrease the overall pool but it will ensure that the league can find replacements when/if necessary.

Conclusion

As commissioner I am open to any suggestions on how to improve the league including this constitution and league settings. If you have any questions or suggestions I prefer that you post them on the league message board to stimulate a league wide conversation on the matter. I will do my best to be fair and impartial on any decisions to be made and to take any and all input into consideration. While we all are playing to win and would like to have a little extra money in the end, please remember that this is for fun. Let’s all have a fun and fair season!
