Hello all, I realize that since I am a new member here, this may look a little sketchy. However, I am an experienced dynasty player and am looking to take part in a competitive dynasty league.
I created this league, Play For It All, recently. My plan is to have the draft on MFL as a free draft-only league. I plan on starting it Friday, May 19th at 12pm ET. After the draft is complete, I plan on importing all of the league information to NFL.com.
Quick League Overview:
This is a PPR league (it is currently set at 1 point per reception, but am willing to bump it down to 0.5 if there is enough interest). The remainder of the league settings are normal, and there are no bonuses for certain statistical performances. There are also 4 divisions and 2 conferences. You will play the two teams in your division twice, as well as all of the other teams one time). Divisions will be determined either by the owners time zones (if we have three owners who live on the west coast, I will try to put them in one division), or we can do it randomly. After 13 regular season games, the four division winners are guaranteed a playoff spot, and the 5 and 6 seeds go to the best "wild card" team in the conference.
Tie Breaker Settings;
1.) Head-to-Head Record
2.) Team Points For
3.) Team Record against opponents within own division of conference
4.) Team Record against opponents in other division of conference
5.) Team Points Against
League Roster Settings:
-32 roster spots
-3 IR spots,
-0 taxi squad spots (for now)
**It is possible that during the offseason, rosters will expand to 40 players due to player retirements/cuts/etc.**
1 QB
2 RB
2 WR
1 TE
1 RB/WR
1 WR/TE
1 K
1 DEF/ST
There are also no position minimum requirements, but you obviously need someone to start every week.
League Draft:
The draft is scheduled to start on Friday, May 19th and will be conducted on the free MFL draft-only site. The order will be determined at random and released following the actual NFL draft or after the 12th team is added. This means that if you join, the order that appears is NOT the order that we will go necessarily with. It will also be in serpentine order (snaking).
After the order is released, all picks will be open for trade, as well as drafted players and picks after the draft begins. Each team will also be given their following three years of rookie picks, with 3 picks going for each year. A trade cannot be completed without one team reporting it and the other team(s) "confirming" it.
Other League Notes:
-Waivers start on Tuesday at midnight following MNF, and will be completed on Thursday at midnight.
-Each team will have a budget of 50 points to use on the waiver wire for the season. This will encourage 'bidding' on players available, with the highest bidder being awarded that player. This budget will not reset, so it is important that you use your points wisely.
-In any case on league collusion, the owner will be subject to punishment by the league commissioner. The commissioner will either hand down the punishment himself, or put it to a vote amongst the other 11 league owners.
This is NOT the final set of rules for the league. Other minor settings will be determined once the league owners have largely taken shape.
If you have any interest in joining this league, please respond to this discussion. I will be happy to clarify any questions you have.
