Hey sharks!

Made yesterday and brought to you today, it's more free 5 Minute Drill! With so many teams in turmoil and/or transition, we decided to break down 10 of them to tell their fantasy fortunes. Check it out:

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/podcast/

As always, we really appreciate you taking the time to watch the show. Input is always welcome...

Thanks all! After surgery to repair both of his ACLs, Bloom is expected to make a full recovery for the 2008 season.

good stuff. What city do you guys film in anyway?
We film in Austin. Cecil flies in at 11:30 every Monday night from Denver to bring you the Drill.

I'm gonna get some "YOU KNOW THE DRILL" T-Shirts made...anyone want one?

:football:

Great show as always.

However, I would like to add to what Sigmund and Cecil mentioned about holding on to Steve Smith.

You know there are non-footballguys subscribers in your league and some guys are not fanatics like the rest of us here. You can presently get top dollar for Steve Smith although that window of oppurtunity will be closed next Sunday if Carr continues to be the QB for the Panthers. If you need to trade to upgrade your roster, Smith is the perfect tool to unload and let the other guy have his hatred for Carr grow out of control as the season progresses.

I managed to trade Steve Smith for Frank Gore in what was a multi-player trade where I included Warrick Dunn and acquired Ronald Curry. So yeah, if you don't get equal value for Steve Smith (Top 10 RB for example), then I agree with keeping him but by all means, don't let this stop you from making offers to get a stud if the other GMs are not as savy about how David Carr will kill Smith's fantasy potential.

As a Smith owner, I am deeply jealous. Well done, sir.

Does that mean we can expect Selvin Young to be co-hosting next week with Cecil?

Great show as always. Would love thoughts from the hosts or the board as to whether or not KC is one of those teams on the bubble.

Is the Dwayne Bowe Show for real?

Is LJ going to show up in a meaningful way anytime soon?

I know the drill,

We're all big Bowe fans - we highlighted him after the CHI game when he caught his first TD (on a ball that looked like it could have been intended for Gonzalez), and had another called back due to an incidental penalty. He showed the "my ball" mentality you need to have to be a #1 WR in the NFL. Sidney Rice showed that exact same quality on his TD last week.LJ is definitely going to show up in a meaningful way. His level of play has not dropped off, and the TDs and yards will come now that he's up to speed and they are past the Minnesota run D, who shuts down everyone. I expect LJ to be a top 5 RB from here on out.

LOVE Dwayne Bowe. Go back and listen to our senior bowl coverage where we were raving about Bowe in each episode. The D-Bo show is for real. For the first time EVA, the Chiefs have a big time WR. He's only getting better as he develops into a better pro receiver. Bloom highlighted his "my ball" mentality, and that's one of the reasons he's having early season success. Damon Huard knows what to do with this kid - put it up there and let Bowe make a play. LJ will be fine. the offense is coming together and the TDs will come.

excellent trade!

We film in Austin. Cecil flies in at 11:30 every Monday night from Denver to bring you the Drill.
Love the frequent flyer miles! The mornings are rough, but Blooms special brew of coffee, plus some sweet nectar from the vine (Mt. Dew) and I'm rolling!
Cecil a few questions just being nosy, who pays for the flights you or Joe/David. Don't you miss the Monday Nite Football flying in at 11:30PM or have on flight game showing. I recall Marc told me about 3 weeks ago you guys wear the (Wear that Joe stickers) someplace on you, since I never seen it yet on the show...does the sticker show up on the x-ray machines at airports. :nerd: thanks for any reply and keep up the great work.

ON Networks pays for my flights/expenses. Frontier has the game playing while I'm in the air, plus Bloom has it TIVO'd so we can recap when I get in.BEJ will make an appearance in the near future.thanks for watching!

I wanted to paint "you know the drill" on my chest, but Faletti rejected that idea.
Dude, you need to shave that @#%$#@$% into the side of your fade. If you don't, you don't have a single hair on your nuts. There I said it! :rolleyes:I cant believe I'm saying this....but I'm starting to warm(just a LITTLE bit) on Joey Harrington, so I thought it was interesting that y'all were discussing him. I have some family that's local to Atlanta(and actually care enough about the Falcons to actually watch their games, unlike me  ) and the past couple weeks they've been preaching how "He's not being given enough time to let his brain screw him up." I've been hesitant to buy into it. We'll see how he does vs. the Titans, but I may just have to find some space for him at the end of my bench since it looks like Del-home may be done for a bit. Not sure I agree with your take on the Rams. I can understand wanting to hold onto Holt/et al in hopes for a hot week to flip them.....but with that OL as banged up as it is I'm not sure that week is coming any time soon. May be time to float offers for your Rams before the wheels totally fall off. I moved Holt a week ago and felt bad at first. No longer, after that debacle on Sunday. Gus/Bulger is irrelevant, in my mind. That OL is a sieve right now.Great stuff, as always.

How awesome would it be to see those guys wearing the :ptts: during a 5 Minute Drill!

It's true. I wanted it painted on his *ss so he could pull a Randy Moss. :o

This week may tell us just how good Bowe is if JAX matches Mathis up with him. As a Bowe owner, I'm hoping that Kennison comes back and gets Mathis. Mathis killed me earlier this season when he totally shutdown Javon Walker. :goodposting:

 Hey Guys just wanted to give a shout out that I appreciate the work you guys are doing and keep up teh good work.. Who knows perhaps Joey H will get a litle but warmer if not this week , then the following weeks ahead.

Bloom and Lammey are doing a fine job on The Drill. Lots of good info, and enough silliness to attract the casual fantasy owner.
