The answer is because their revenue stream is not in the app, but in getting suckers to say "It's only $30, who care if it doesn't work?" or "It's free to try" and in the mean time try and set hooks in for that $30 and that's not to mention a $10/month "service" fee which any decent coder could completely automate.

Look man, it's hard out there for some people and hope is an easy thing to sell, but as my father would say you can hope in one hand and #### in the other and tell me which one fills up faster.

No one is making you become an affiliate, every product has to be tested before release. Right now there signing up people who are interested in becoming affiliates and allowing affiliates to preregister people. Like I said, you don't have to be an affiliate and pay the $30, just allow someone to pre-register you for the app, as a player.  It's free to download and try, if you don't like it, delete it, if you do share it with your friends. That's all that's being asked. Everyone is stuck on this affiliate thing. You don't have to be an affiliate.

If you sign up as a player all you have to do is play and like the game, if you don't then move on. Yes, as an affiliate, I would love to sign someone up and have them enjoy the game and share it with all there friends and get them playing, that's how I, as an affiliate will make money but if you don't want to be an affiliate and just play that's your choice. All that's being asked is to try the app, allow someone to preregister you for the app. Simply, don't know why all the debate. 

 
So, who's ready to be the guniea pig and submit their info to receive a free invite and then get to choose what they want to do with it?  Huh, who among the masses is brave enough to face that buzzing text message?  Come on be a hero to your family, make your partner, children and family proud for being daring!!

SPOILER ALERT: You will net no money, and it will be a terrible waste of your time and money and your friends and family will hate you a little more for pushing this garbage on them. 

Everyone understands you don't have to become an affiliate, you don't need to keep repeating it.  You just want us to download the app, in the future of course, because it's not yet developed even though they are taking in (hundreds of?)thousands of dollars $30 bucks at a time from suckers like you, so that when we buy coins that a micro % of it will be distributed up the pyramid, including you.  

Please post a picture of your cool $23.17 check you get in 6 months after investing $240 and countless amounts of time/energy pushing someone else's scam product.

If they don't have the capital to market or develop the app, then the app either sucks, or the producers of the app are scamming.  Neither is a good result for you.

arggggg! Because yes, you can play for free by watching the 15 sec advertisements to get your coins if you want to play that aspect of the game experience but the affiliate your assigned will get credit when you use your free token accumulated from your 15 sec add watching. The company that promotes the ad you watch for 15 sec, to get your free token, pays the affiliate assigned to that player for them using the token.

omg, they haven't taken any money from anyone yet. No money comes out of anyones bank accounts until the app launches. It's developed, it's set to release in early Fall.

When is the release date? The only mention is fall, which is well into the NFL season.  If this is the actual strategy (it's not, remember it's a scam) why wouldn't they have it ready for start of the year?

yes, you can, when the app launches in the Fall.But you will be assigned to an affiliate at random. here's how it works, if I signed you up as a player, you would be assigned to me. If you play the games and use your tokens I get credit for that. If you like the game and share it with 30 of your best friends and they like the game and use there tokens, I get credit. If after the game launches, you just hear about the game, lets say via a comercial, and go to the app store and download it, your still going to get assigned to someone. It doesn't effect your game play. you just play!

Sounds kind of like a pyramid.  You are going to get rich $0.000000178 at time!!! You are better off releasing an album on spotify, even if you don't have any musical ability.

it's not a statistical type game so it's not important for it to start week one.

why does the app need this creepy marketing initiative? Did Candy Crush do this and I just didn't know any creepy folks to sell it to me at the time?

 
What types of questions will it have? Things like:

1. What is your name?

2. What is your favorite color?

3. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

4. What is the capital of Assyria?

It's not a gamble, it's a scam.  One in which you will waste about $200-$500 of your money and countless hours so that a few at the top of the pyramid will make some coin off a 5th rate app that is probably just a clone of another crappy app that didn't make it in the free market.

We use the term "Fall" pretty loosely since this is a soccer app too.

Because the app is an affiliate based app, its being promoted by affiliates. There giving the affiliates the opportunity to come on board and share in the proceeds.

So you're telling me that the owners of this app are going to spend tens of thousands of dollars advertising this app through commercials out of their own pocket, and then when those people end up downloading it after seeing it in a commercial, they will be assigned to an affiliate to whom the owners will then give a cut to for literally no reason at all? 

Do you see the problem there?

 
So why can't the affiliates just split the proceeds evenly?

And if I pre register how do I check out the app?
