New Dynasty League being started for 2012 (1 Viewer)

I am going to be starting a new league, which is actually 2 leagues in 1. The basis of the league is this: One league is the AFC, one is the NFC. All 16 team names along with their respective divisions, ie AFC/NFC North/South/West/East.

The goal is this: Each league will compete against itself all season, until each league has a Champion. The Champion from the AFC, will then play the Champion from the NFC in Week 17 for the League's Superbowl.

There are a lot of details to be posted, so please bare with me.

Keepers will be as follows: 6 offensive keepers, 4 idp keepers, and you may keep up to 3 rookie draft picks. However, if you drop or trade your draft picks, they can only be kept as part of the 6 offensive or 4 defensive keepers.

Scoring will be rather basic, except there will be bonuses for QB's reaching 300 and 400 yards, and for RB's/WR's reaching 100 and 200 yards. Return yards will also be part of the equation.

Defensive scoring will be as follows: 1.5 pt per 1/2 sack, .25 per tackle, 4 per int, 2 per Forced Fumble and 2 per Fumble recovery.

Rosters will be as follows:

QB

RB

RB/WR

WR/TE

WR/TE

WR/TE

TE

K

DL

DL

LB

DB

Each franchise will be allowed to start with one player from their respective NFL team. For example, if you choose the Minnesota Vikings, you will be allowed to keep any player from their roster, before we start drafting. So, more than likely you would start with Adrian Peterson. Each NFL team has at least one very solid fantasy player, or up and coming type guy to build your franchise around.

I will be using ESPN as a host site. Since we cannot start a new league right now, we will use the message boards to set things up, and post rules, policies, etc.

The buyin for this league will be $55.00 for 2012 and $55.00 for 2013. We do this to protect teams from poor ownership. Nobody wants to take over a decimated roster and have to pay to rebuild, so if an owner starts 2012, ruins their team, and we have to find a replacement, the remainder of 2012 is covered, as is 2013. Then the new owner would have to pay for 2014 to have some type of commitment to the league. $50.00 goes to the prize pool, and $5.00 goes towards commishioner fees. Part of the commishioner fees will pay for a solid chatbox and time spent running the league. I am looking at having one commishioner per league (AFC and NFC), and I will reside over both leagues.

Leaguesafe will be used to hold onto everyone's funds.

If you are interested, you will need to email me at witkd04@yahoo.com. I will not be checking this site often.

Please send an email only if you are a dedicated and active owner, because if you quit midseason, you will not be getting your money back.

Please answer the following questions in your email, or you won't even be considered:

1. How long have you been playing fantasy football?

2. Have you ever played in a deeper dynasty/keeper type league?

3. How many current football leagues do you have?

4. What's the longest league you've been apart of? How many years has it been together?

5. Rank your 3 favorite teams you'd like to choose from to begin this league.

Thank you, and please also email if you have any questions.

Teams taken: Philly, Houston, SF 49ers, GB, Carolina, Dallas, Cincinnati, New England, Baltimore, Detroit, New Orleans.

Just so you guys know. The upcoming rookie draft for this league will be based on NFL Team's records, so teams like Indy will have a keeper like Peyton Manning and the first pick in each round for the draft. Draft picks can be traded before our draft as well, so they can be used to get other pieces. Just wanted guys to know that, so teams that don't have the best keeper in the world like the Jaguars, etc will have a good chance at landing some solid rookies.
