I have 3 openings left for my new dynasty startup. This is a league for only active, eager players. For real dynasty players. Please only apply if you want to participate, trade, talk, and login frequently enough to know what is going on. Anyways, I'll go ahead and list the key points as of now that have been solidified:
> - $76 2011 fee ($56 each season after our inaugural 2011 season; the extra $20 would be applied to our graphics/website layout that we will be able to keep forever). Remember, it will only be a one-time fee.
> - League template is linked here (not actually our league, just how it will look similarly to): http://www12.myfantasyleague.com/2011/home/28308
> - 12 team league, 3 divisions, 25 rosters spots.
> - Divisions will be randomized every 2 years.
> - Standings are determined by Victory Points (VPs). For those that do not know, every week during the season, instead of just tallying a win or a loss in your standing column, you acquire victory points. It's quite simple actually and is the best way to determine standings in my opinion. It works as follows:
2 points for a win
1 point for a tie (likely to never happen, just pointing out)
0 points for a win
---------------------
2 points for top 1/3rd weekly point total
1 point for middle 1/3rd weekly point total
0 points for bottom 1/3rd weekly point total
So quick example, you would get 4 points (maximum) if you win and also score in the top 4 teams for the week. Even if you lose in this system, you could potentially earn 1 to 2 points if you still have a good scoring week. This system displays the strength of the league a little more and removes a bit of the luck in the long run.
> - Lineups are 1 qb/2 rb/3 wr/1 te/1 flex(rb/wr/te)/1 kick/1 def.
> - Standard PPR decimal scoring with 6 points for all TDs and .05 per passing yard (equivalent to 1 point per 20 yards passing)
> - TE gets 1.25 PPR. RB and WR get standard 1 PPR.
> - Waivers are "blind bidding" during the season with everyone starting with $200 each year.
> - Three round rookie draft every offseason to be held one week after each NFL draft. (All 2011 rookies will be included in our startup draft)
> - Standard playoff format during weeks 14-16 for the top 6 teams.
I think I pretty much laid out the main points to the league. The league is linked right here: http://www33.myfantasyleague.com/2011/home/57851#0
I currently commish 3 other dynasty leagues along with my local in-person redraft. I've been playing for the past 7 years and commishing the past 5. So this isn't my first rodeo
. My leagues are all fun, laid back, active, and tightly ran.
If you are interested, please email me at fphatpat@hotmail.com and give me an idea of your past FF experience, how long you've been playing, a little bit about you, etc. Any questions as well, feel free to email me.
Thanks again.
