You didn't do well in logic courses in school, huh?Yes, the Patriots cheat more. This is not news.League average for OPI is 2.3 this year to date. Pats have eight. From Seifert.
No, I think he's comparing the Broncos overall team to the Pats overall team. The backup QB is part of that team. The Broncos backup QB won last night. Injuries happen all year and your backups are almost as important as your starters. Whether you like Manning doesn't matter. I don't think that many backup QBs could walk in on a 2nd start and beat the genius that is a Belichick defense. Are you really comparing losing Brady to the Broncos upgrading at quarterback with Osweiler?Denver didn't have it's starting QB, Ware, Ward, Williams, and Vasquez. Take Brady alone away from the Pats and where are they? Everyone wants to focus on New England's injury situation. Denver's is just as bad, if not worse. And the Pats had Gronk for the majority of the game, and it was still close... Oh and Denver is working with a makeshift offensive line too. Your argument don't fly. Sorry. If it took overtime, some really bad calls and the Patriots not having Gronkowski, Edelman, Amendola, D.Lewis, Jamie Collins, Donta Hightower and a makeshift offensive line for the Broncos to beat the Patriots, the Patriots will win by 20 points when they get all these guys back and it seems with the exception of Lewis they will all return.
I understand your perspective. And that's fine. Your fan base just generally makes it a "me" issue when it's really a "we" issue. When it happens to other teams, the fan bases don't instantly connotate that with some conspiracy scheme. They cry for a week saying how awful a call it is and how the NFL doesn't know what it's doing, but never say the big bad NFL is out to get them.Agreed.That doesnt mean that we forfeit the right to complain about it.The fact is when you play one possession games, you leave yourself open to getting the s*** end of the officiating stick every once in a while. The Pats have been luckier than most teams in the majority of those one possession situations. You're not gonna get the lucky draw every time.
I would like to see him flagged for this. It is incessant. I would also like to see Pete Carroll flagged for constantly being several yards onto the field and in the Refs ear. Why they are immune to the rules everybody else has to live by is beyond me.What was surprising to me was how Brady is allowed to scream bloody murder in the ref's faces and yet you will never see a flag.
Reporting equates to the existence of factual evidence in your mind. Fascinating.I understand your perspective. And that's fine. Your fan base just generally makes it a "me" issue when it's really a "we" issue. When it happens to other teams, the fan bases don't instantly connotate that with some conspiracy scheme. Consider this:
It has been reported that deflategate was contrived by a contingent of owners who felt the pats got off too lightly for spygate. In other words there is factual evidence of a conspiracy. Im fully aware of the whiny nature of some of the things we pats fans say, but with context comes perspective.
That report may be sufficient proof of the fact for SeniorVBDStudent, but I, sir, will need more evidence. Perhaps some hospital reports from your region citing an unusual number of pelvic injuries in women between 18 and 34. Something.I just reported that I wrap my dong around my waist and wear it as a belt.
I doubt it was payback from a "Contingent" of owners as I would define that term as being three or more, and most likely many more, near a numerical majority, but not necessarily so. Do I think there may have been an element of some pettiness on behalf of one or two owners, sure, I can buy that (In fact I would go so far as saying I believe that to at least a preponderance of the evidence). Of course I also think that Brady wanted his balls deflated and that the Pats actively pursued that objective and then lied about it. I believe the weight of what should have been a minor kerfuffle at best was exacerbated by one or two owners with an agenda and the Patriots paranoia and their very real culture of lying, secrecy and rule skirting. Had they fessed up immediately, and had they pursued the deflation less vigorously, the whole thing would have amounted to nothing. It would then have looked like pettiness from jealous owners who could not handle getting bested, constantly, by the Pats.SeniorVBDStudent said:Ok so factual evidence was a stretch. Do you doubt the characterization of deflategate as payback? As a proud homer, i take it as a given.
Me too.I'm a big fan of kerfuffles
I wouldn't exactly say that. Then again I don't see Denver even having a chance to beat a Pats team with a healthy Edelman, Amendola, Gronk, Hightower, and Collins.BusterTBronco said:That's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is the Pats jumped out to a 14-0 lead and then got outscored 30-10 over the final 3/4 of the game. When viewed from that perspective, it looks like the Pats got their butts kicked by a superior team.devouredbychaos said:You can say Denver is decimated by injuries all you want, but the fact that they have all of their offensive playmakers is the difference. Cry me a river. You know Denver has had the lowest amount of holding calls called on their opponents than any other team in the league, right? Yeah, with that pass rush, that makes perfect sense.Enjoyed this tweet by Sports Illustrated.
Showing off this weeks cover - in it, centered is the Brock Lobster, behind him out of focus, a very clear Dominique Easley being held.

Its hilarious, talk radio all Monday, no one was talking about Brock, they were talking about how bad the officiating was and whether the Pats could win a game with 80% of their accounted for production off the field.
Gonna be real awkward when the Broncos have to play in Gillette and they will still be talking about whether Peyton should drag his walker out on to the field.

Show some real confidence boy and just say they have a 0% chance.Pats would have won that game with just 2 of the 5-6 key players that were out. Not sure who how/if Den goes back to Manning for playoffs but Pats will have Edelman, Amendola, Gronk, and especialy Collins back. Good run for Den but they have .0001 chance of beating them again.

What is it with some of you guys? Keep throwing Gronk and Amendola into your "you guys got lucky!!" narrative. It shows that you are reeeealy stretching to validate your loss. Gronk got hurt with just over 2 minutes left in the 4th. He was blanked after that very first drive (I think 4 catches for around 40 yards). Amendola is what he is. The Pats signed him - please don't use him as an excuse when he's hurt for games. Edelman, on the other hand, is a real loss - unexpected and for the entire game. That one hurts.Pats would have won that game with just 2 of the 5-6 key players that were out. Is this a professional sports writer? Because it reads like something from Bleacher Report. What an insipid, biased piece of writing. Whatever you think of the reffing or the subsequent hub-bub, what kind of idiot would even suggest that that loss was on Brady? What more could he have possibly done to win that game?"But there was no controversy Sunday night. What we saw was a team blow a lead to a career backup on a snow-covered field and finally having that 16-0 facade crumble. Nothing more, nothing less. Were there some bad calls by the officials? Of course! It’s an NFL game; there are always bad calls by officials. But to suggest there was anything out of the ordinary happening in Denver is pure Patriots. Belichick and his Nixonian paranoia have seeped into the team’s psyche so that any call feels like a conspiracy and losing a game you should have won must be blamed on something else, because it surely couldn’t be Tom Brady’s fault, as The Golden Boy is so powerful he gets New York judges to wipe out suspensions with the stroke of a pen. When the Patriots win, it’s because the Patriots are the greatest. When the Patriots lose, it’s because some back judge has something against them."

So you lose 3 of your top 4 wide receivers and this means you don't have depth?Denver's #3, #4 & #5 WRs caught as many or more passes, each, as our #1 guy. So the Broncos have a deeper team (the backup QB seems pretty good too) or the Pats don't have depth? Which is it?
I'm responding to posts. You're engaging in insults. You seem like the ####### cry baby here.Pats fans sure cant let this one go huh. Spoiled cry babies.

Meh. Definitely written by a Broncos fan. A Patriots fan could write the same article, but change the premise to how the Patriots were basically playing with their fourth-preseason-game lineup and still took the Broncos to overtime in their own stadium. "my loss", first off Im not a Pats fan, just made an observation based on the nonsense I was reading in this post. I realize some Pats fans can be tremendous douchebags but its nothing compared to the hate that organization gets. As for DT, Pats may not be able to bottle him up next time like they did, but then again it is their MO to gameplay to take away their #1 weapon. That seems less of a coincidence and just more of what we have seen from them for years. While both teams have depth issues, NE had much less to work with. Not having Gronk in the end of the game -which is when you lean on your superstars to make a play was huge. However many minutes/seconds he missed. Lastly Jamie Collins- on the other side will be back and he's one of the best in the league and a huge reason Den was able to put up the points they did. Den has some injuries but decimated..no. Although they beat Pats and gave them their 1st loss, they didn't beat the undefeated Pats because they didn't play them. But they willWhat is it with some of you guys? Keep throwing Gronk and Amendola into your "you guys got lucky!!" narrative. It shows that you are reeeealy stretching to validate your loss. Gronk got hurt with just over 2 minutes left in the 4th. And I don't understand why you bring it up, anyway. Denver's #1 WR caught one pass, and dropped 5 or so. He killed at least 3 drives, and that won't happen "next time", right? Even with that Denver scored 30. Denver's #3, #4 & #5 WRs caught as many or more passes, each, as our #1 guy. So the Broncos have a deeper team (the backup QB seems pretty good too) or the Pats don't have depth? Which is it?
Either way, your arguments seem weak. All NFL teams have injuries, and depth is huge in the League. It was actually a great game, with two great teams. Brady is the man, and kept them in the game. Denver is transitioning to a new QB, and in his second start beat a good defense.
I hope they play again, and whomever wins, wins, regardless of injuries.
So instead of acknowledging the fact I brought up, you continued to scream and cry. Got it. Then stomped your feet about the next time we meet in the playground.Sick double post. There were blatant missed calls on both sides. There were blatant missed calls in the previous game, and every game this year. There were blatant missed calls in every game last year, and the year before that. There has never been a game played free from blatant missed calls.Denver had the most sacks going into this game, Pats had the second most.
Denver defense isn't much better than the Pats. Your response to a blatant missed call shouldn't be "they miss calls against us too" it should be "this is objectively bull####"
I didn't acknowledge your non-point because it was dumb.
