You could see there they sold out on the pass and rushed 3. Then they had a spy on Ben as he thought about taking off and then stopped. No-one open, threw it away.

Are you kidding me? Hines Ward looked like a zipper in club 54, he was so open.

Perfect execution on that out pattern. The Steelers knew what they were defending and still couldn't do anything about it.

Well, there's a rookie at QB.

That doesn't mean no one was open. It means he let the ball get completely away from him. That was a terrible pass, but the NE D had little to do with it.

You know, Bryant likes to keep talking about how 'smart' the Shark Pool is, especially compared to the FFA, but I've just seen about 15 people call a game over that is less than eight minutes in.Maybe our definitions are different.
Are we still  if we are right?
Yes.You have no idea how this game is going to end up, eight minutes in.
Okay you're right. I really don't know how this game will end up. If I did I'd be filthy rich, you know, being able to see into the future and all. When I said "this one's over", I wasn't actually trying to imply that time had run out and the game was over. It's more of an expression than a statement of fact. Pats have(had) a 10-0 lead. They're one of the best coached teams in NFL history. Their opponent has a rookie QB. I think they hold on to win. That's what I meant.

Remember, he was saying during the week that his goal was to limit mistakes. So I suppose his bias is going to be to throw it away. Open may not mean open this game.

I have to acknowledge the great call by Cowher, in moving to Duce so quickly after seeing how much the Patriots are crowding the area between the tackles.

I know the Steelers didn't want for Roethlisberger to have to carry them but it's looking like that will be the path they're forced to. At least more than they wanted to.J

I recall the Jets DBs really playing off the LOS last week. The Patriots' DBs were right up on the LOS there.

In other words, "this ones over".

That would've been the thinking in last year's Super Bowl too. Big Ben definitely looks nervous out there and might be overthinking.

We'll have to see Satch. That's why they play. And we watch.J

That's not true. First quarter offense is actually a good predictor for wins and losses. On another note, Corey Dillon has been zero factor in this game so far, I guess his absence didn't make much of a difference last time. Branch is the one killing the Steelers right now.

It may not be over, but the Steelers are in big trouble. And they will probably have to scrap their gameplan in the second half.

Red TD!!!

One of those fast zip passes to the WR at the LOS, and the DB just happens to slip and fall, resulting in an easy gallop into the endzone.

Patriots are getting all the breaks right now.

Regardless of the outcome of this game you gotta give the Steelers fans credit, they love thier football team. Just look at the number of Pats fans in this thread vs. the number of Steeler fans. Now if the game were in NE, the turnout would most likely be the opposite.

Branch didn't play in the first matchup either. Dillion makes Branch better and vice versa. If the Steelers try to stop Dillon, they send Branch deep. So far, it's working out pretty well.

 and  to the old Steelers showing up on cold and windy sideline to support the laundry.A+ (and it pains me to say this)

Or they could be watching the game with friends, at a bar, etc. The party is at my house this year, so I get to post.

Very nice pass play by the Steelers to get this drive going. Ward breaks to the sideline with his defender caught off guard and the ball was right there.
