Post any updates here

Sounds like Kevin Faulk could be a sneaky play in PPR leagues or leagues scoring return yardage for individual players.

As Morris owner, this would seem like great news, although I could just as easily see:

Morris=1st/2nd down

Faulk=3rd down/passing situations

Evans=goal line

I'm starting him with confidence, just tempering my expectations.

I think Sammy has a HUGE game today.

I was waffling on my RB2 (Edge, McGahee, DeAngelo), but I think I'll pick up Sammy and start him instead. He was very impressive when I watched him week 1 vs. the Chiefs, including some goal line work.

You do have a point and it is the Pats we're talking about. Predicting anything is very similar to predicting the weather. However, at least you can eliminate Maroney and Jordan from the equation, and you look at the fact that its Morris' ex-team then you can make the educated guess that Morris has a good/great day.

Patriots running back Laurence Maroney (right) heads a list of inactive players for today's game against the Dolphins.

Per boston.com

What do you guys think of Sammy's chances vs. Chester Taylor's output this week? I've got Morris in there, but I'm second guessing myself regarding Taylor. Thanks for any thoughts.

First, in a bit of a surprise, RB LaMont Jordan is active. He had missed practice all week with a foot injury. Also, TE Benjamin Watson is active for the first time this season.

With RBs Laurence Maroney and Kyle Eckel inactive, the Patriots have Jordan, Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk and Heath Evans as their backs. Last week, the team played with five running backs.
Wonder what we'll see from Watson today. Would seem like a good target for Cassel when he gets into trouble.

So, is Jordan a legit factor or just a body in case of injuries? If the guy didn't practice all week, I can't imagine he's part of the plan. But, it's the Patriots. I plugged Sammy in, but Morris/Faulk looks a lot better than Morris/Jordan/Faulk.

I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, this is totally unpredictable. Compounding the situation is the reports imply that Jordan will 'see' work behind Morris.I'm standing pat...but certainly felt a lot better when it appeared that Jordan was inactive. Good luck.

Makes me nervous but I'm going to stick with Morris over Grant.

You would think that Jordan is in there as a precaution should Morris, and/or another back gets injured. I just can't see him being a major factor because of the lack of practice of time. I am holding steady as well, but I will not be surprised to see a nasty 12 to 6 curve come in.

I would assume Jordan is only active in case of emergency. Coaches are confident in Morris and Faulk both. I just hope Sammy gets the goaline looks and not Evans

Was starting Morris with confidence, now thinking about Graham. :confused:

Good Lord, this is actually funny at this point! Must be a BB confusion tactic causing the conflicting Jordan status reports. Hasn't the official inactive report been released yet?

It's a few minutes until kickoff...someone should have been able to put eyeballs in LJ by now and tell us if he has his shoulder pads on or not.

I live in Boston but haven't seen anything on the field yet. Besides, I can't stand to listen to CBS' awful coverage for longer than I have to.

CBS reporting Jordan is active. Not 100% but active. Also live in Boston and they're reviewing the game right now.

Sorry I couldn't post sooner (that's what happens when you have to be at three Pop Warner games in a row).

Maroney obvioulsy out. Jordan essentially active as an emergency back but very unlikely to play. As I mentioned several days ago, neither one were expected to play today.

Will try to get back earlier next week to post before kickoff . . . .
