New England RB's - Morris OUT, Jordan OUT (1 Viewer)

pure speculation, but this was on Rotoworld this morning......

FoxSports.com believes LaMont Jordan is "better than 50-50" to play Sunday.

That comes as a big surprise after Jordan missed practice Thursday and Friday. If Jordan did play, he would heavily cut into BenJarvus Green-Ellis' touches. Keep an eye on the situation if you own BGE. Jordan would be worth a pickup to put on your bench in most leagues if he gets a surprise start. We still have our doubts.

Well, I asked and it was not ruled out as a possibility that Jordan could play and could even start. So I guess it's possible that this could happen (although we should know more in a couple hours).

correct me if i'm wrong, but per nfl guidlines, doesn't "questionable" mean 50% chance of playing?i'm just wondering how they take the leap to him starting or getting a bulk of carries ?!?

I would guess that they are going by the depth chart and then doling out Jordan the most carries. I suspect we may see a repeat of Week 3 where Jordan was doubtful and yet still played (6 carries for 22 yards). I still haven't seen Jordan doing much yet to think he will suddenly vault to the head of the class.

thanks. sounded like website filler to me (not even the infamous "unnamed" source quoted). what is belichick's history of starting a player after not being able to practice all week?

Usually if you don't practice, you don't play. And on the rare occasion when you do play, you normally don't get a ton of work.

According to ProJo blog, Morris is stretching on the field. Also, brace on left knee (previously it was unknown what knee was injured). Blogger says to not read too much into it, but was passing it along. (As am I in turn ...)

This makes more sense . . .
