I know Maroney is getting over an injury himself, but just curious WHO runs the ball today for the Pats given Faulk being out. Am I foolish to assume Dillon gets a light load pre-playoff?

Aren't the Pats still trying to lock up 3rd seed?

Well Mort just updated and only talked about Brady sitting early in the game and seeing lots of Matt Cassel.

I think I'm going to start Maroney...it stands to reason that Dillon will get rested up for the games they NEED him, and at his age he's more likely to get banged up I would think. Is this goofy logic?

Well, so far this season Maroney has been scoring a lot of TD's and producing with limited touches. If he has the 'norm' carrying about half hte load today, he should have a TD and probably go 10 for 55 or 60 yards, plus another 3 catches for 25 yds.

With 3rd down guy Kevin Faulk out, and Dillon on the AARP mailing list, doesn't it stand to reason that maybe Maroney carries a bit more today?

fair enough logic, but of course it always comes down to who you would be sitting for him. I think that Maroney is a decent start this week, but I'm sticking with the hot James who is more likely to be getting consistent carries. It's a tough call.

less healthy 22 year old up and coming stud vs 30 + year old stud with a lot of miles on the tires. You raise a really good point ... but somehow I just feel like either way, I'm screwed today. I'm going to start them both in my TD only league...and when Dillon has carred 3 times for 4 yards and calls it a day, I will throw things at my cat.

I hear you, I wouldn't want to be the cat today  Of course if Edge goes 11 for 29 I will probably throw things at my kids

My kids are 5 weeks old, I fear that is less exceptable than the 8 year old cats who can at least try to avoid the pillows and empty beer cans that take flight.

mine are 4 and 1 and for some reason my wife still does not think it is acceptable to throw things at them. Women :blackdot:
