New Footballguys Feature - Player Info Icon (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

One of the big things we're working on for this year is a small thing but I think it's going to be super helpful.

We've started to put "player info" icons on players that have a situation going on. You'll see it show up as a blue "i" next to the player name.

Here it is on our ADP list http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/adp.php

We'll have tags initially for injury, kick returner and punt returner. In season, we'll have Game Time Decision guys. We may break out the injury tag further and have concussion tags. We'll see.

it's a work in progress. Just wanted to let you know one of the things we've been on.

Hats off to the smart guys on the team who made this happen. Doug Drinen, Keith Overton, Mark Wimer and Greg Russell. Sigmund Bloom and Cecil Lammey will be responsible for maintaining these as they happen. They rock.

This is really small but it's always been a feature I felt was lacking. I hated having to look at the rankings in the AM then go run to Rotoworld and punch in names just to check on injury status stuff.

How up to date should these things be leading up to game time?

We're working it all out now but this will hopefully be extremely timely. We know that's a big deal for folks.

For injuries (Probable, Doubtful, Questionable, etc.) do you plan on keeping a record of whether or not they played? It would be helpful to know how often doubtful or questionable players play for certain teams/coaches and it would be nice to be able to look back on a players year and see if he was a headache week to week when trying to figure out whether or not to start him.

Possibly. But that's a very different feature than this. This is a visual guide to quickly see all the players who have something going on.

I'd like to see up/down icons on the pre-season projections next to the players when their projections change. Would be great to keep track of a player's changing situation or value.

I don't have time to double check right this minute, but I'm pretty sure what you are asking for shows up on one of the rankings lists that FBG provides. When I get time later I'll check into it and report back......that is unless someone beats me to it. Positive I've seen it here before. Might be only within subscriber content though.....
