New League idea for 2010 (1 Viewer)

I'm just trying to gauge if there is enough interest in a league like this.

Here is the link to a dummy league I set up with the rules and lineup requirements: http://www5.myfantasyleague.com/2009/home/53683#0

Here is the basic idea. It is a contest type league where you can pick any player you want but you can only take the player once during the 17 week NFL season. It is a total points league until we get to our playoffs where you would go head to head against another owner. Depending on the number of entries it could be a 16, 8, or 4 team playoff weeks 15, 16 and 17.

24 player starting lineup

Head Coach (get points for them winning their game, negative points if they lose)

2 QB's (17 weeks X's 2 QB each week would mean that you would have to start QB's playing because injury)

2 RB's

3 Wr's

1 TE

1 PK

1 Punter (why not include punters)

2 offensive flex players (any position but QB. You could start a three kickers, punter, coach or 3rd RB, 2nd TE etc.)

2 DE

1 DT

3 LB

2 CB

2 Safeties

1 flex defensive player

We will use all Myfantasyleague.com player listings

I was thinking of a $50 entry fee. All money would be paid out minus the myfantasyleague charge of $70.

We would pay out to the weekly high score along with the playoffs. Hallf of the entry fee would go towards the end of season playoff champion and the other half would be divided by 17 to pay the weekly high score.

For example: 16 teams X$50=$800 - $70 mfl fees=$730 /2 =$365 to weekly high score, $365 to playoff winner

$365/17 weeks would be $21.50 to the high scorer each week

$165 to playoff winner, $90 for 2nd, $60 for 3rd, $30 for 4th

32 teams X$50=$1600 -$70 MFL fees= $1530/2 =$765 to weekly winners, $765 to playoff winner

$765/17 weeks would be $42 for a weekly high score

$385 to playoff winner, $190 for 2nd, $130 for 3rd, $60 for 4th

50 teams x$50=$2500 -$70 MFL fees=$2430/2 $1215 to weeky winners, $1215 to playoff winner

$1215/17 weeks would be $75 to each weekly high score

$610 to playoff winner, $305 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th

We could adjust the payouts for any number of entries Even if you didn't make the playoffs you would still be playing for the high score for the week. There would be many strategies to save your studs for the playoffs or to try and win as many weeks as there are.

If we got 50 teams just one weekly high score would cover your entry fee. If anyone is interested in all please post here.
