One of the dynasty leagues I'm in is folding this year, This league was unique in that it utilized an auction draft for rookies, with traditional picks being converted to a certain auction value after each season. That league also utilized a taxi squad for 1st or 2nd year players where players could be poached. Last year, I was in a MOX Super-Flex league that I also really enjoyed, mostly for the super-flex aspect and the scoring parameters.
One of the more frustrating aspects of weekly lineups is the uncertainty that comes with injuries, and the fact that not everyone can reliably be on line at noon on Sunday to maneuver lineups, forcing them to decide earlier based on incomplete information. Worse is starting an inferior player just because a Monday night player is questionable. I would appreciate a league that removed this aspect, which can at times be unfair. Why not have a weekly injury backup thread? Backup players designated for when a designated starter either doesn't play or leaves a game for good due to injury? I'm not talking about best ball here. I'm talking about having true backups.
I'm considering starting a 12 or 14 team tiered PPR superflex league with an auction startup draft, BB dollars, yearly rookie auctions, injury substitutions, and some sort of "practice squad" where players could be poached with auction dollars. I'd like to have prizes structured to emphasize weekly prizes and regular season placement more than playoff (1st/2nd place) finish. Lastly, I'd like to include some sort of victory point format, maybe double headers with a third point available for finishing upper half in a given week?
Nothing for sure here- just feeling out interest/ideas.
