Orphan Teams who?
Hello!
I have been running a keeper league (not a true dynasty league, but pretty darn close) for the last 5 years and it has been incredibly rewarding & so much fun. I have now convinced myself to start another keeper league.
I like keeper leagues because I think it loosely resembles the NFL. NFL teams retain most of their players year after year, but they do add rookies and free agents in the offseason. Our new league would be similar. You get to keep the majority of your roster year after year, and then free agents and rookies get thrown together in a pool for the yearly offseason draft.
I think everyone here likes keeper leagues because of its complexity and the "playing the long-game" aspect to it. But I think small dynasty leagues and small keeper leagues are lame, because the smaller the league the more like a team becomes TOO dominant. I think keeper/dynasty leagues need at least 12+ teams to create adequate parity.
I welcome ideas for the league. If I haven't said anything yet that peaks your interest, just DM me and tell me what you think this league needs for you to join.
