Looks like Minshew is going to get another start and see what happens vs the Saints

Lot of skill position players impacted
2nd week in a row during the FF Playoffs that AJB and Slim w/o their starting QB

Go!

Those are awfully ambitious statements.

Sanders is banged up. MInshew is starting. Johnson is out on the OL.

I can see NO, who is still in it, raising up and giving a game of it. They showed up motivated to play in Cleveland in that weather last week, what makes one think they're not showing up motivated here?

Closer than people in Philly would like to think.

Minshew looked fantastic last week and really only had one or two questionable passes. He’s processes information very quickly and gets the ball out fast. That said, the Saint is more formidable than the Cowboys and their secondary is solid. I’ll be happy with 250-75 2/1 This should be an AJ Broen week

Don't care if the Eagles win by 1 or 100. Just win. I think they will.

I suspect the thought process is that, while yes they are motivated, Philly is a bit better then Cleveland and should still be able to win.

I need the Eagles to win by 7.5. I think they will.

I certainly get that. I was only talking in terms of motivation for New Orleans. They'll be motivated, at least to start the game.

I'm not going to slobber all over an NFC South team vs. the Eagles, I just think the talk of blowout or eighteen points is really ambitious.

I could be really wrong. *shrugs* It just strikes me that those are some awfully big numbers and statements being tossed around given the situation. According to the header, Vegas has Philly by six. That sounds like more like it.

I think the Eagles win but I agree that an 18 point win seems unrealistic. New Orleans has a lot to play for and the Eagles are not at 100%. I feel like Eagles fans are underestimating the impact that a Minshew with no Lane could have on this game. If Hurts is in, I think they would be fine because he’s a dual threat.

Who will be playing for Johnson and how did they do when Lane left the game early last week?

They just gave up 40 pts even though Dak kept gifting them turnovers lol

Philly the more talented team and has better coaching. A few warts showing up for the top seed but nothing to keep them from winning this game. I do think The Saints will hang tough but I just don't see Dalton)or Hill) winning the game late,so...

Eagles- 30
Saints- 20

This is probably the more realistic prediction....but I wouldn't be in the least surprised if the Eagles blew them out of the water.

They scored 17 points off of drives that started in the Eagles territory. I get it, you're a Cowboys fan who lives in the Philadelphia area so it's convenient for you to bash the Eagles every chance you get. Enjoy the next couple weeks, the Dallas playoff choke job is about to happen.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

And why are you so angry and defensive?

Daks interception issues notwithstanding, the Saints offense is not the Dallas offense. And as much as Gannon gets killed here in Philly that defense is nasty. Nearly half of the Cowboys 40 burger came after turnovers deep in the birds territory. Can’t expect miracles.

I’d frankly be shocked if the saints are able to put up 20 and the Eagles have already proven they can score with Gardner under center.

As nervous as I am, being a pessimistic Eagles fan, I still think they get it done tomorrow and do so fairly convincingly.

Either they leave the line as-is and plug in Jack Driscoll who is a serviceable, albeit downgrade RT, or they plug in Andre Dillard at LT and slide Jordan Mailata over the RT-something they did last year when Lane was out on personal leave. Both options can and have worked.

Let’s face it, Lane is the best RT in the league (he hasn’t allowed a sack in like two years) and is a road grader in the run game so there is no replacing him. Both options above are downgrades, so I personally prefer option 1 to option 2. Dillard is a downgrade to Mailata and Mailata is a downgrade to Lane. No reason to adversely affect BOTH sides of the line-especially against this defense.

I don’t know that a decision has been announced tho.

Eagles will win easily and get a better draft pick from the terrible saints

Hard to see the saints keeping up with the Eagles at home. Should be easy.

Deciding on Eagles D or Giants/Chargers. Points allowed don’t really matter. Sacks, picks, and PR/KR yardage 1 pt per 20 yards.

As I heard the news this week, Lane is off until the playoffs. has a torn something in his abdomen
Put off surgery because he wants to play in the Playoffs
Should Philly lock it up this weekend, Week 18, Wildcard, he might be able to squeeze 3-4 good weeks of rest but from reports he will need surgery

I'd play the Giants against the Colts and Nick Foles tbh. Dalton doesn't give up many sacks...and we saw Foles last week, right?

Eagles have had at least six sacks in each of the last four games. That’s never happened before. Ever.

To put their defense in perspective, the 1989 squad, which was an all time great, holds the franchise record with 62 total sacks. This years birds have 61. With two games to go.

Javon Hargrave, Hassan Reddick, and Josh Sweat all already have double digit sacks. Brandon Graham needs one more to get to ten. This would be the first team in NFL HISTORY to have four double digit sack holders.

Btw they do all this while almost never blitzing.

Oh also they are tied for second in the league with 16 ints.

That’s true Dalton doesn’t get sacked often. Will the Eagles play like the Cowboys? Sleep walk the first half and then do just enough to pull away and not get anyone hurt.

Happy New Year!

The Eagles get on track today and lock up the #1 seed.

Eagles - 31
Saints - 17

Y’all like a big game out of Minshew more than Rodgers vs the Vikes? Temped to plug him in but wonder his ceiling here.

2nd and 6...inside the 15 yd line and they pull Kamara off the field and he has not been overly used on the opening drive
Maybe their best skill player and they can't use him
Pathetic
