Not often you get a 2nd shot like this.

Let's get it started

:football:

Saints are currently 8.5 point underdogs. I love it!

It was good to see the balance with the offense last night. Double good to go to on the road and physically dominate a hot team.

If you're the Saint, this isn't a second shot you want. Sea will go for the kill this time, not just to wound.

cool story...but the hawks have shown they are physically dominant over the Aints. Not sure how you can believe the outcome the second time around will be any different.

And before last night the Saints had never won a playoff game on the road. That's why you play the game, hoss.

Hot? This team got trashed by the Vikings 3 weeks ago
Yeah, that team that got thrashed by the Vikings 3 weeks ago.
Now I agree I was very impressed with the Saints running last night. The Eagles are worst against the run, This may have to do with the fact there defense is on the field so much, but I really don't think Brees showed me anything last night that he shook the the curse off himself. He had some pretty bad passes yesterday.

The Aints? Doctor Detroit just spent a post defending Seattle fans in another thread. Oops.

Can't wait until Valhemorrhoid and Palinorama come in here to tell us how the Saints won a Super Bowl four years ago.

You want insufferable? You got it.

ITS doesn't count, he's an outlier.

You must know classier Seahawks fans than I do.

Big win. Low expectations for this one. I think the last meeting could have gone differently without that early pick six, but obviously that's what happens in Seattle. We've got big flaws, the Seahawks have few. I think we'll execute better than last time but unless the Seahawks turn the ball over multiple times, they'll march on.

He's not in the Pacific NW right now, like I am. ITS is par for the course locally.

The Seahawks won the first game being dominant and it will be interesting to see if they go into the game overconfident. Also curious to see how the Saints handle Pierre Thomas if he is healthy.

BTW, Chris Cooley Fan, did the Saints organization shove links of boudin inside of you? If there is a Saints thread you seem to find it. Just take a deep breath and go grab a Muffuletta from Central Grocery!

Meh, I can't do it. Saints fans are ok with me and I actually kind of like the Saints in general.

I love you all.

What's going on with all the Saints injuries? Who got hurt yesterday that's crucial to the Saints? Pierre? Sproles? Defensive players?

Pierre may be back. Keenan Lewis looks to have suffered a concussion so who knows. He's our best corner by far. Kenny Vaccaro was our best safety and he's out for the season. His replacement Harper was the guy that tripped over himself on the Cooper touchdown.

I would rather go to Port of Call. My biggest gripe is when I lived in the Shole for 13 years, when I first moved there in 2000 I could get free tickets for playing 20.00 at the casino, then in 05 they start playing well. And evey one has been fans there entire life. I know there like that every where. I just happen to live there then. Also I grew up right outside of Philadelphia I hate them also, but at least there stadium was always sold out, even during the Kotite era. You may not fall into one of those fans, then a :hifive: to you sir.

I expect a much better game from the Saints this time around. It will at least be competitive if they don't win. They are playing better on the offensive line than earlier in the season and are showing they will go away from the pass happy offense if they need to. At least in the 2nd half of the Philly game they did. I think that balance will make the Saints harder to defend than the earlier meeting. If the Saints lose as they are expected to, There is no shame in losing a hard fought game on the road against an opponent like Seattle.

Fair enough.....I'm with you on bandwagon fans, worst type! I sat in the dome in the early/mid 90's watching some bad football so these days are pretty good.

was hoping for Philly to win yesterday so we could possibly get a good divisional game in Seattle. I think we're going to have to wait til the NFCCG for a good game in Seattle now.

This is how it is everywhere though, try living in Texas with Cowboys fans. Right now I live in Redskins country with Ravens fans sprinkled in. Only reason I like Ravens fans better is that they are less annoying, but they're all annoying to me.

That hurts, bro.
i would be perfectly fine with someone bumping that after the game with some serious wtfpwnage, but I just don't think New Orleans matches up with Seattle well on either side of the ball at all. but it's the playoffs and anything can happen.

I was in DC for 17 years. Redskins fans are a special breed of delusional. I think they'll gladly admit that.

Alright then Mr. over confident. Your wish is my command. If that should happen.

Regardless of their personnel, they are going to win the Super Bowl this year. It's hilarious and sad.

Keenan Lewis' availability is key.

Humber and Herring (ex-Hawk btw) in for Haralson is a minus already.

I really don't think it matters if he plays or not. Harvin is back.
Harvin is back in this moment in time, he could tear his labia on Friday walk-throughs and be out for the game. I'll believe him playing and being effective in the offense when I see it.

At least the Saints have faced and know Harvin from having played against the vikings in 2009 and 10. He is not a stranger, he is a concern but.... He can't stay healthy.

Anything can happen in the playoffs but for any team in the NFC, especially the Saints, to come to Seattle in a playoff atmosphere and win would need to play out of their minds and Seattle would need to lay an egg.

Teams expecting Seattle to come in overconfident shouldn't look to their early games this season against the Rams, Bucs, even Cardinals a few weeks ago. This is the playoffs. They'll be fired up.

Seattle: 27

New Orleans: 17

I think the atmosphere may actually be less hostile since it's an early Saturday game as opposed to the Monday night, get liquored up all day situation. Yes, I understand it'll still be mind numbingly loud. Night crowds just have an extra but of insanity that early crowds rarely match.

Or maybe the Saints need a better game plan and need to show up a little better prepared than last time. Last game our game plan stunk, stop Lynch and that was it. on offense it was pass happy. I have to believe the Saints coaches have learned something from that time until now and will be better prepared this time for the Seahawks. The Seahawks can have whatever state of mind they want to have as far as I am concerned. This team knows it is in for a battle and its put up or go home, there is no next week. You can bet it will be a much better game than the last one.

The recipe to beat Seattle is to run the ball and in the first game the Saints got down early, and they never established the run. If Pierre Thomas is gimpy I think that hurts the Saints a lot, but they do have good depth at RB.

Seattle was very vanilla on offense in the second half of the season, and especially after the Saints game. I think you will see a different Seattle team offensively in the playoffs, I think they saved a lot of Pete Carroll's creativity just for these games. Harvin's return helps in opening things up, but I think they take the reigns off Wilson and let him really create. I like Seattle a lot in this game, but am taking nothing for granted.
