New Orleans Saints week 16 (1 Viewer)

Going in to Championship game week, wondering what most everyone here plans on doing with regard to the status of Drew Brees. Not so much about playing HIM, but about the targets around him. I have both Hightower and Watson. If Brees plays do you trust him to be himself?

I have Brees hightower and Watson. If Brees sits I will sit all of them.

If Brees plays I will play Watson (if he is healthy) and still sit Hightower. Jax has a tough run d and I've just got better options than Hightower this week. But I can see him gutting out 75 yds and a td. I feel like he's got a decent floor and a lower ceiling this week.

If Brees plays I think he will play as well as he did in the 2nd half of last weeks game where he absolutely tore it up and threw multiple tds. Jax defense doesn't put much pressure o the qb and they can't defend the pass. And with jax offense keeping pace on a bad NO defense this should be a high scoring game.

If Brees plays he's in my lineup.

If Brees plays and Watson plays and all reports are he's healthy and moving well he's a lock in my lineup against one of the most generous defenses to the TE. If Watson doesn't play or seems gimpy in pre-game warm-ups I will go will Tye over him.

I'm benching Hightower for Christine michael vs stl and Karlos Williams vs dal. Both at home and better matchups, higher ceilings imo. And I'm not going for safety in week 16. I want my highest potential scoring lineup in there.

Ya I am playing Hightower and Joique but have Gillisplee who has his questions with Karlos. Don't have a choice there. I have Watson and Barnidge at TE and would play Watson hands down if the knee issue wasn't there as Barnidge is facing #1 def vs TE. Unfortunately I can't wait till game time on Watson due to time difference between their games. I suppose if he practices today, I will lean Watson even if Flynn plays strictly due to match ups.

With Watson and Colston dinged I'm leaning towards Snead in my flex. I own Brees and Bortles. Right now I'm starting Bortles (and Julius Thomas) but want Brees in there for a shootout.

I so, so wanted to start Brees in this matchup.

Saints playing at 4 is the problem. I got Kelce who plays at 1, and Tye who plays Sunday Night. If Brees sits, I'd rather play Kelce over Tye.. it's a question of do I want to risk Brees sitting and having to plug in Tye instead, or just going ahead with Kelce and risk not playing Watson.

In league #1, I own both Brees & Cooks, and in league #2, I own only Cooks.

In league #1, I am a significant underdog, plus I had Gates do nothing for me on TNF already. My only QB alternative is Hasselbeck. Unless there is either clear word or rampant rumor that Brees will be inactive, I am keeping Brees in my lineup. I also have no alternative bu tot start Cooks, so Brees' status is irrelevant to my lineup decision WRT him.

In league #2, the matchup is a toss-up. If Brees is active, I'll keep Cooks in my lineup. If Brees is inactive, I'll start Diggs instead.

Just saw Watson is expected to play with limited practice on Friday but just not sure if he will be limited today. From Blaine blontz saints correspondent via schefter.

Brees in and saying playbook won't be limited but with the injury, a fairly hot Colston out, Watson a bit dinged I think I'm going to stay with Bortles. Will have Snead though, he figures to thrive with opportunities..
