This is a 14 team dynasty league. The theme is Cryptocurrency whereby each team name is a cryptocurrency.
The league uses a starting lineup of 10 offensive and 11 defensive players with balanced scoring. There is a ton of flexibility in how to can build a competitive team. It is also a superflex league where you can start 1 or 2 QBs. There are no contracts, I have several other leagues that have contracts, auctions and a ton of other stuff that takes up a ton of time, but with this one I wanted to cut the fat and that means eliminating the need for contracts. I have, however, implemented a new and fun way to force player movement through the league; most notably in an off-season event called "the Raid".
During the Raid each team will "raid" 5 players, one at a time in the same order as the rookie draft. These players can come from any other roster in the league. There will be 5 rounds and all teams will raid 5 players and all teams will have 5 players raided from their team. No team can raid or be raided more or less than 5. Prior to the raid, teams will have the opportunity to protect 1 player at each position and 2 flex players from being raided. Additionally, each time you are raided you can protect one additional player. Once you have had 5 players raided from your roster you can no longer be raided.
I got this idea from a different league I was in and it was really fun. The other notable things in this league are a progressive pot, draft lottery for the rookie draft pick determination, and something I'm calling the Crash Fund. The Crash Fund is simply an escrow of $25 whereby each week the bottom scoring team will pay, out of their Fund, $5 to the highest scoring team that week. The purpose of the draft lottery and the Crash Fund is to hopefully discourage people from hardcore tanking either at the beginning of the year or once they are out of the playoff race. I'm sure you're familiar with owners that trade good players for other good players that are on IR, suspended or otherwise not expected to contribute this year, but next. This is all in effort to get the No. 1 pick in the rookie draft while maintaining a solid team for next season. The draft lottery and the Crash Fund certainly doesn't stop anyone from doing this entirely, but I think it does discourage the extent in which someone might go on tilt for the top pick because the top pick is never guaranteed by the draft lottery; and you may lose additional money out of your Crash Fund which needs to be replenished each year if you end up in the red.
The annual entry fee is $155, however, for graphics, deposit and Crash Fund the first year entry is $250.
Who I'm looking for: I am looking for only active, respectful and solid owners who take pride in their team and the league. You must check the site regularly even in the offseason. It shouldn't be something you have to do, but something you do because it's a bit of a sickness lol. You also must be responsive to trades, put notifications on and reply in a timely manner rather than not caring and letting offers expire. You are not forced to trade, however, if you are one of those people that never trades and doesn't enjoy negotiating a mutually beneficial trades, please don't join. Lastly, there is no flaming here. There are owners who mess around with each other a lot all in good fun. I'm not looking for #######s who look for a fight. Everyone is treated with respect. The league so far is filled with many of us who play together in several leagues and I can tell you they are a great bunch of guys.
