Roethlisberger might be 14 years old, but he is already better than the combination of all of these scabs. Kudos to Coach Cowher for taking some lousy QB's pretty deep into the playoffs. He deserves a trophy.
Let's get something straight here."Big Ben" is not the reason why the Steelers are 15-1.

Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley are the reason why the Steelers are 15-1.

Their O-line is the reason they are where they are 15-1.

Their NFL best rushing Offense is the reason why they are 15-1.

Their Defense is the reason why they are 15-1.

Their new OC who decided the get back to a "run first mentality" is the reason why they are 15-1.

The most "Big Ben" threw the ball in one game this season is something like 28 times.

Pittburgh has played Oak, Mia, Dal, Was, NYG, Cinx2, Clex2. not exactly a tough bunch of games.

"Big Ben" is a rookie. He will be playing his first playoff game tomorrow. Let's see him win it first before you go annointing him the next Terry Bradshaw.

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS :D

Wow, finally some Jet fans returning the trash talk - I like it :D .While the Steelers balance is the reason why they are one of if not the best team in the league, be careful not to discredit Big Ben. Sure he hasn't exactly had to put games on his shoulders every week, but he did something that very few QBs do. He managed to help his team win vs. Philly and New England, both undefeated teams at the time, in consecutive weeks. Say it was the O-line, the running game or the defense all you want in those games, but the fact that a rookie could play and beat two undefeated teams without making costly mistakes to in effect lose the game, says something about his "big game" ability. I'm just trying to give respect where it is due.GO JETS

Of course Jets fan here, but this is precisely why I think the Jets lose today. It will be the big story of the year and cement ROY (as if it was in question at this point) for Roethlisberger. The Steelers this year are the classic example of how defense and an entire team effort, not just the effort of one or two stud players, is what wins games. Of course I hope the Jets put up a good fight, and I am not discounting them entirely. To win, I think it's critical for them to get up early. But too many factors are against them, I think. My pick: Steelers 28- Jets 20.BTW at least the Steelers have a legit reason to talk smack this week, unlike San Diego.

Steelers have had their way all year. Countless posts about winning by 15-20 points against good teams. Kudos to them for that, it's a new season now though. When's the last time they had a close game? Those blowouts stunk. I'd rather it be close and Andy Reid and Cowher are matching wits. I'd rather Law didn't get hurt and the Pats didn't put a red carpet out for Plaxico. I'm afraid this won't be a close one but I'm dying to see it. Steelers have always played a brand of smash mouth football that gets tougher when the game gets closer. I want a good game. Before that, I wanna see Curtis get introduced to his "hometown" fans. I dunno what the NFL rules are with introductions and playoff games but it'd be nice to see.As a patsfan, I was worried and pleasantly surprised with inexperienced Brady in the Supe. If you guys make it, don't kid yourself you'll be worried. The Supe's a different animal altogether.Gimme a game to watch Jets, gimme a game to watch!

Your second point is exactly why the Jets WIN today. As a team, I believe the Jets will need (and get) big contributions not only from their D, but their special teams as well.

Without it, the only way the Jets win today is have their O go up big early with a couple of TDs (which, let me clarify is unlikely, but possible) to take the Steelers out of their running game a bit and put a little more pressure on the rookie in his first playoff game.

Additionally, off the top of my head, these two teams in the past 5 or 6 games have not scored more than 20 points against each other. Based on that, I take the Jets and the points.

Jets 17-13

Let's get something straight here.

"Big Ben" is not the reason why the Steelers are 15-1.
If you believe that, you haven't watched the Steelers this year. When a QB completes over 2/3 of his passes and finishes 2nd in the NFL in yards per attempt (perhaps the most important QB stat of all), not to mention with a QB rating close to 100, he's a part of the reason for their success.

He's as much of a reason as the running game, offensive line, or defense.

I agree, I don't understand how you can remove Ben from the equation. QB is the most important position on the field and regardless of how many times he throws the ball during a game he has made big throws all season long.

It might be nothing, but CBS just showed Roethlisberger warming up. He seemed to be having pain in his right thumb when throwing the ball, but both he and Cowher say that there's no problem. He did seem to be wincing and trying to "shake something out," though. Just something to keep an eye on today.

I need some help guys.I'm at work and I can't get a good reception to listen to the game on the radio. Is there a free internet radio station that will have the game? I tried Westwood one and didn't see a link to click to be able to listen to the game. I'll have NFL's GameCast going, but it's just not the same.I wish I could just head home, but I have a ton of accounting errors to fix thanks to a few jackasses. Missing the game, and it's my f'n birthday! I'm giving myself a raise.Any help?TIA

UPDATE: I just got a call from a buddy of mine at the stadium and he said that Ben is warming up now and looks FINE !!!!HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO !!!!!

Nevermind. I just bought Field Pass and billed it to the business. This definitely falls under Employee's Benifits Expense. And I'm still giving myself a raise. :D

Thanks KnowledgeReignsSupreme! I guess I can unsubscribe to Field Pass now.

Jets look good on the first drive. They may be able to have some success passing tonight. Now let's see hwo the Steeler offense does.

Definitely a misprint

Game OVAH! My instinct was to pick the Jets in the gambling line, but my rational went ahead and told me to choose the Steelers at 9.5. Looks like the right choice.

Too bad Pennington can't face the Chargers secondary every week.

but according to some, the Chargers secondary is decent.

first quarter just ended, right?I mean I don't have a dog in this race, but let it get to halftime before we declare a winner.

They wouldn't be that bad with a guy like Polamalu.

Quick pass to the WR or a QB sneak. Steelers D, if preparing to stop a short yardage run, would be nearly impossible to break.
