What is the best way for a newcomer to fantasy football to use draft rankings?
I created relative values for each player at each round based on how many players at that position would be likely to go by the next round. So, if Peyton Manning is worth in a given ranking system, say, 100 fantasy points, and we are likely to be able to get a QB worth 50 if we wait until the next round to draft a QB, then I assigned PM a relative value of 50 for the first round.
Is this a common approach or have such considerations already been factored into many draft rankings?
