Newly emerged dynasty buy/sell targets? (1 Viewer)

I mostly want to hear the opinions of others, but a few I will be selling:

Lance Moore - He was a very solid flex option with Bush out of the lineup, so Moore has a bit of a buzz. I think Bush's production is replaced by Sproles. In other words, I think Moore lost touches to the Bush role, not Bush the player.

Roy Williams - He was a nice buy low (Almost free) last season. But I would be looking to sell him this second, with him going to the Bears. He will still be the #2 WR on a team that doesn't produce many WR2 points, at best.

Kevin Kolb - Simply not buying the hype. He has one of the best 2-3 WRs in the game to throw to, a huge TE, a couple talented RBs, and fat contract. This should be enough to get your league mates attention.

Knowshon Moreno - He is actually a hold for me, but now is the time to sell if you are going to. I don't think the Broncos are going into camp with Moreno as their 3 down back. With DeAngelo staying put, you league mates might, however.

And buying:

Jonathan Stewart - Simply too talented to be treated as a mid-to-low RB2.

DeAngelo Williams - One of the more talented RBs in the NFL, with one of the biggest RB contracts. He will get touches.

Michael Bush - I am targeting him now. I think he ends up in a situation in which he can compete for carries. Maybe this limbo will scare his owner enough to sell low.

Brandon Marshall - The shark move was to target Marshall before FA started, after his wife stabbed him. Still, I might kick the tires a bit. I think he is a PPR WR1 and his owner might have him a few spots lower, until they nab Orton.

Vince Young - He wins football games. I think he gets at least one more shot to start in the next 2 seasons. If you can get him as a throw in, I think you can move him 12 months from now for more than that.

I'm trying to get Marshall real bad but hope Orton goes to Miami

Didn't he just signed for the Eagles ?The same Eagles with Vick as QB ?

Yes. Just like Vick signed to the Eagles with McNabb as QB.I think the most likely scenerio is that Young goes to Philly, keeps his mouth shut, a few fluff articles about him being a new guy are written, and Philly - again - trades a QB for more than they paid to get him, at the end of the season.

Sell Demarco Murray. Buy Tashard Choice. Coming into TC injured and as a rookie just cannot bode well for your 2011.

Agree on VY - remember that is only a one year contract, so he is definitely starting somewhere else next year IF (yes, capital I and capital F) he can learn from Reid and Vick and keep his head in the game.

As far as Marshall goes...if you can get him on the cheap then more power to ya. But at this point in time I don't think he is someone I would target since I don't see his numbers getting any better. Perhaps worse with Bush in town. As an owner, if I could get a decent offer, I'd probably take it.

He'll have the accurate, rocket arms of Matt Moore or Henne tossing to him...or the other team.

I tell ya, between Marshall and Rice...my fantasy offseason is taking a nose dive!

:X

Yes. Just like Vick signed to the Eagles with McNabb as QB.
With the difference that McNabb was already at the end of his journey in Phila, Vick has just started it

Shopping:

Ocho - Still believe in him and he could put up WR2 or WR3 numbers this year. But there's a lot of guys in NE now. It's a great opportunity to cash in and get younger if he's a bench player for you.

Buying (other than Stewart):

Tebow - Every day Orton looks like the starter is a day his market value drops. It's a gamble both on Tebow holding the job and Orton getting moved but it could pay off. ETA: Even more so after Miami signs Matt Moore in a few minutes.

Lowball offering:

Smiff - Guys who held him or bought him were looking for better news and will be bailing. He'll still be a WR3 with some weekly upside and you can probably get him as a throw-in. Basically he swapped places with Ocho, now Ocho's the high price vet and Smiff is the undervalued guy who will probably score about the same.

Vick signed a 2 year deal. Vince is signing a 1 year deal. Big difference. Vince is only going to be in Philly one year. He is auditioning for 2012 and hopefully learning a little along the way. He will start for another team in 2012. If you can get a player with upside as a throw-in and sit him on a year, it is worth it. The question is does Vince really have upside in a 12 team league.

I'm still buying on Moore. I don't think the Bush to Sproles was long enough in duration to give him any real bump and I see him as a low end WR2, but getting drafted as WR4-WR5. I've liked Michael Bush for two or three years and his situation isn't changing this year. But maybe he'll finally get a chance next year. I'm tired of waiting for it so I'm not going buying. He's kind of a poor man's JStew. Every time it seems like he'll get a shot, something happens to take it away. But Bush is running out of time and doesn't have much value absent injury whereas JStew does. Though you'll have a tough time trading low for JStew right now. His owners in dynasty are smarting right now and in no mood to deal him.

Willis McGahee a "buy" now that he has signed a 3 year deal with Denver? Is he the bellcow with Moreno the 3rd down/change of pace?

He was a buy as soon as DeAngelo stayed in CAR.

BUY MCGAHEE NOW
I see him as bye week filler. You have him as more?
I think he will be more effective than Moreno and get more carries. Value will be similar to Lynch in Seattle. Not implying you should give up high value for him, but he was teamless and hopeless 3 days ago, and now is essentially an NFL starting RB. RB3, decent depth piece.

Sell Demarco Murray. Buy Tashard Choice. Coming into TC injured and as a rookie just cannot bode well for your 2011.
Boy, you will regret that!!!!:twocents:

In other news, Ingram's value continue to rise.
 Still a full blown RBBC. They just replaced an overpriced 3rd down back with a cheaper one. I assume Sproles will get a decent amount of touches as well. I'm starting to wonder if Sean Payton is related to John Fox and Mike Shanahan.

Who is the bigger buy now in a 1/2 pt per reception league? Sproles in "Bush role" or McGahee?
Probably neither are worth a roster spot. If push comes to shove maybe McGahee since he'll likely be the goal-line RB and get 100 or so carries on the season.

 IMO, there will be no RBBC in NO. Ingram is that much better than retreads Pierre and Sproles.I'm selling MSW high right now.

I don't think there will be regret. Murray really lacks vision. At least in all the games I watched. He got to run behind a top 5 OLine against entire teams that had less talent than anyone at OU on a weekly basis. He only ever had big gains when a gigantic hole opened up. I wouldn't be buying.

:goodposting: Murry is not a RB, he has no instincts or vision, pure straight line runner. They should convert him to a WR as he is very good catching the ball.

Lance Moore is a buy. His price just went up slightly, but brees lobbied for him and throws to him with confidence.

I get the sproles siphoning touches from him idea, but colston coming off microfracture and yet another surgery, he could be on his last legs here

I just traded Spiller and Baldwin for Stewart and Pettis. Hate that D-Will stayed in town, but think Stewart is good enough to wait on, and hopefully start worthy even in a RBBC situation.

McGahee will be 30 yrs-old in this, his 8th season, and he has over 1,700 touches in that span.

I'll be finding someone else to target in my DYNASTY league.

The way people fawn over youth is ridiculous sometimes. You ARE trying to win leagues in current seasons I hope.

At his price and potential upside (Flex starter if it goes well) McGahee is a solid target. Enough to win you games this year without costing you youth.
