Ogunleye eager but may sit
Ankle injury could mean 2 weeks off

Losing a starting quarterback is a huge blow, but Kyle Orton has stepped in admirably for Rex Grossman and the Bears otherwise have remained remarkably injury-free.
That status changed somewhat Sunday and, more officially and clearly, Wednesday when the injury report listed defensive end Adewale Ogunleye as questionable and special-teams regular Joe Odom as out for Sunday's home game against Cincinnati.
Both players have sprained ankles.
In a nod to the confusion and miscommunication that surrounded Ogunleye's lower right leg injury last season, coach Lovie Smith acknowledged that Ogunleye did not suffer a high ankle sprain, which is considered more serious.
"He has an old-fashioned ankle sprain," Smith said, colorfully and candidly.
Smith said Odom's injury is more serious and he needs the entire two weeks off, if not more. The Bears have a week off after Cincinnati.
Though Smith said he hoped Ogunleye could return to the practice field this week, Ogunleye is aware of the two-week break the open date affords.
"That might be a good thing, but we really need this win," Ogunleye said. "We need the best players out there. I want to be out there helping this team win. You can look at it two ways. I could go out there and play well and not reinjure it and then I have a week to rest. But if I can't go out there and push off like I want to, I won't go."
