Next line of college hoop players making the jump to the NFL - who do (1 Viewer)

From Tony Gonzalez to Antonio Gates to Jimmy Graham to Julius Thomas who are the college basketball players that you think may be able to make the jump to the NFL?

I'm gonna toss out KU power forward Tarik Black 6'8 255lbs and my personal favorite Baylor forward Rico Gathers 6'7 270lbs. I don't think either will play in the NBA and maybe a shot at the NFL may be in order. I think Gathers is a man-child and could be the next one to make the jump to the NFL.

I think most of these guys come out of nowhere because they really aren't that good at basketball, they just have the freakish size and athleticism for the sport. But I could also be talking out of my ###.

There's a TE in a non-BCS conference that currently plays both basketball and football. He looks pretty good in football.

Scratch that. He only played basketball his Freshman season.

Hasn't arrived yet but Brandon Bostick for the Packers fits the bill. Doesn't have the insane size but does have the elite athleticism.

Miami has a 5th-year Senior named Raphael Akpejiori playing TE this season. I don't think he'll be any good though.

These two guys played basketball during their Freshman seasons:

Darion Griswold, Arkansas State

Jay Rome, Georgia

Martellus Bennett and Mercedes Lewis played basketball early their college careers. I don't why they aren't lumped into the more common names.
