I like what Brady said there. It's not intentionally offside. They're trying to guess the snap because that's basically then only way to stop that. 1/2 the distance isn't a huge deterrent. But they're not doing it intentionally. Moot point, I know.

No you’re allowed to try to draw a team off. Intentionally jumping offsides is no different than faking injury to prevent a team from a no huddle Offebse.
