Only two weeks left to get in on this offer -- don't miss out! Go to www.fantasyfootballchampionship.com and register before it's too late! I've been a participant in this event for the past four years, and have only had positive experiences in that time.
This was just announced two hours ago by NFFC-founder Greg Ambrosius:
I'm only going to say this once, but I'm going to say this very loud:
ALL OF THE NFFC PRIZES FOR 2008 ARE GUARANTEED!!! That includes BOTH $100,000 GRAND PRIZES, THE $1 MILLION BONUS and all other prizes.
There, I'm glad I got that off my chest.
In the last few days, I've had questions from new customers and even some of our veteran customers asking if the NBC Sports NFFC Primetime contest was going to be cancelled or if the prizes were going to be guaranteed. We've always said that we would guarantee the prizes, but in this Wild, Wild West industry we now find ourselves in, nothing can be assumed. And I understand that.
The reason I'm coming out now to say this is that it's obvious our final numbers for both the NBC Sports NFFC Classic and the NBC Sports NFFC Primetime contests will not finish where we had budgeted them. In fact, it's very possible that we will pay back 100% in the NBC Sports NFFC Primetime contest and yet we are telling you and the entire industry that we will pay 100% and lose money on that contest to prove we are in this for the long-term. We are NOT in this for the short term and we never were.
Right now we have 184 signups for the NBC Sports NFFC Primetime 12-team main event and we'll need to get to 216 just to break even on the prizes. So if you really are looking for the best Return On Investment in the industry, that is the contest to jump into now. We will NEVER have a better ROI available for our players, I can say that now.
Our game plan for 2009 will have to change, obviously, and it will change starting with baseball. That's for us to determine. But for right now, we are GUARANTEEING all of the prize money and taking signups for the next 13 days before going off with whatever numbers we finish at. We understand the economy has played a part in this year's disappointing numbers, but we've always said we're in this for the duration and our partnership with NBC Sports allows us to live this year and improve upon it next year.
So there you go:
The $100,000 NFFC Classic grand prize is GUARANTEED.
The $100,000 NFFC Primetime grand prize is GUARANTEED.
The $1 million bonus for winning both main event overall titles is GUARANTEED.
I know we didn't have to say it, but what the heck, there I've said it and it is out there. If you're sitting on the fence checking out all of the competition and the ROI on everything, do the math and realize that the NFFC is not going to meet budget and that's good news for you, the fantasy player. If you can afford to jump in this year when others can't, then you're fortunate enough to take advantage of a bad economy. But don't delay because we have to fill up 12- and 14-team full leagues and last minute signups could be left out.
Any questions? Post here or sign up!!! See ya in less than three weeks for what should be a HISTORIC season for you. Even though things haven't worked out as planned, I will still have a smile on my face when I award TWO $100,000 checks and possibly a $1 million bonus!!! The only difference is that on Draft Day you have to buy me Corona's instead of the other way around!!
Good luck all and may the best player win.
