I don't think so.Todd McShay in an article from this morning talking to a Buffalo interviewer about different directions the Bills could go with the 8th pick in the first round. I don't know if he had information about the DUI but this is what he said:

... McShay’s advice to the Bills when their turn comes in the first round?

“Forget quarterback,” he said. “There’s just so many other really good football players to draft in this class, other players and positions that the Bills need.

“The Bills need depth and an upgrade at wide receiver, at linebacker, at guard, at cornerback. You can look at all those positions and say … that there are guys that are worth drafting, regardless of position, because they’re better football players.”

McShay mentioned Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree, Alabama guard Chance Wormack and his Crimson Tide teammate, cornerback Dee Milliner, as players he’d consider better picks at eighth overall than a quarterback.

“If Dee Milliner’s there, why not draft a really good cornerback coming out of Alabama where there’s a good track record and he’s well-coached and upgrade that position and then go in the second round and try and get your quarterback there,” McShay said. “That would be the way I attack it, but it’s awfully easy for me to say, because I’m not staring at another season with a quarterback that we’re not thrilled with.”

Worst bunch of skill players I can remember in awhile. If O had a rookie draft, I'm not sure what player I would want to draft. Good draft for defensive playmakers and offensive linemen though.

There's really not one superstar but the depth at rb and wr is probably the best it's been in years. A lot of real quality players at the skilled positions just no "studs"

FWIW I like WR Tavon Austin so I was interested to see how he ranks PRE-Combine.

Also from the Buffalo article the Bills front office guy, Buddy Nix, explained the value of the Combine and how it CAN change how their board rankings can be altered.

“We don’t usually change our mind about a guy, but the combine provides you with the opportunity to learn a little bit more about what he can do – maybe how good he can do it,” Nix told The Buffalo News, speaking of all players, not just quarterbacks. “Again, it is just a piece of the puzzle. The basis of our evaluations remains on playing and production.

“You also want to see how a guy handles himself under that kind of pressure and the combine provides that opportunity as well. That is a lot more than just the running, jumping and that kind of stuff.”

What these lists tell me is that drafts this year are going to be a total crapshoot. When the top WR on both lists is a project you know this is not a good year to have the top picks.

He looks like a nice COP back, but I don't see anything special about him. He's fast but he's not good as pass protecting, gets tackled easily and looks to me like he has no vision. I think he'd be a good complement to a big back like LeShoure.

What happened was that he moved Terrance williams from 3rd to out of the top five, because he had a realative poor combine. Essentially, somebody had to move up.

It's not just one guy. He's flip flopping on a lot of prospects, something he didn't used to do. Trust the tape, your rankings in January should not change much between then and now and if they do they're usually not for on-field reasons.

I understand what you're sayign, but I personally disagree. I have no problem with him changing them around after the combine/interviews, etc.

I still can't believe that Mayock, Kiper and McShay didn't have Manuel it their top 5 prior to the combine.

IMO, he was the best propect in this class after seeing him play in the Senior Bowl. He is looking like a franchise QB and his fantasy value will skyrocket soon.
