NFL Draft youngest player (1 Viewer)

In this years draft DT Amobi Okoye is only 19 years old and will be a 20-year-old rookie in the NFL; I find this amazing that a guy this young can play in the NFL. He was a 16 year old freshman at Louisville and played in his first year (not red shirted).

Does anyone know the youngest player ever drafted in the NFL? How about the youngest player drafted in the first round?

According to this Jamir Miller was the youngest.

"Miller began playing at UCLA as a redshirt freshman and completed three seasons in college before entering the National Football League draft in 1994. He was selected as a 20-year-old by the Arizona Cardinals, the 10th overall pick. According to the NFL Players Association, he is believed to be the youngest player drafted since the NFL's merger with the American Football League 35 years ago."

Terrell Suggs was born 10/11/82 and made his NFL debut in Sept 2003 at the age of 20.

He was the youngest player in the NFL for both 2003 and 2004.

if you think about it, okoye is close to same age as some college FRESHMEN! amazing... when he physically matures, he could be a monster, which is why i hope he falls to STL at #13 (maybe 50/50 or less chance)...

I don't know if/when he was drafted, but Bobby Jackson was born in 1944 and began playing RB for the Chargers in 1962.
