NFL + DVR = How long to watch whole game? (1 Viewer)

If you want to watch a game really fast just watch the short cuts version that DTV puts out later that night or the next day. You'll watch the entire game in 30 minutes.

I haven't time myself - but my DVR has a 30 sec skip feature and if I hit it just as a play is ending, I usually end up immediately with the QB under center for the next play -- that makes the game go by very fast.

Yeah I was doing that with the preseason games. Most of the time it works out perfect but sometimes you gotta hit that button that brings you back like 5 seconds.

Bingo. All games, without pauses, just from snap to snap (with the occasional highlight replay)= about 25-30 minutes.

Thanks for the responses.

I just picked the dvr up yesterday, recorded the Titans/Steelers game, and missed the overtime period due to the extended time!

I don't want that to happen with the Giants this weekend!

I just called cablevision and they suggested recording the next program to be sure.

Also, anyone have a dvd recorder? I'm assuming vcr technology is essentially obsolete. How much do they cost and do they have an editing function? Or do you need to hook it up to a computer for that?

TIA

Set up your DVR to go 30 minutes past end time on live events.

If you simply skip commercials you can get done in about an hour - that assumes watching replays, and listening in between plays most of the time.

If you pause for nothing but live action, replay challenges & cheerleader shots, 30-35 minutes.
