The way I see it now is that the whole NFL Europe thing is a dying product. This season was a little interesting when the Cowboys sent over Drew Henson. I propose that the NFL should initiate a rule that reads likes this "any rookie drafted (current year) must be sent over to NFL Europe if he is not he must remain on the active roster for at least 8 weeks during the regular season (barring injury of course)." This would force teams to send their rooks overseas or risk losing valuable roster spots.
Think of how much fun it would have to been to watch your teams rookies draft picks battling it out prior to preseason. NFL Europe would provide a smooth transitition from college level to NFL level. Another added benefit for the rookies would be that while in Europe they would not be treated like superstars or probably even recognized.
