I can't get it and only care three or four times a year (like tonight). What's the additional programming like?

Some good shows and you get to see extra interviews and PC's. I really enjoy watching Playbook.
:blackdot: i learn a lot by watching playbook. Good break down of V-Jax td this past weekend against the Giants cover 2 and how the free release by Gates and V. Jax gave the safety little chance on it. Mayock broke it down really well.

since the only sport i like is NFL , nfl net is a must for me . i watch it way more than any other station except for NFL games on cbs, fox, nbc and espn monday night . in contrast i hate espn . i dont like any show on espn . the only time i watch espn is when they have an nfl game . imo the draft is horrible on espn compared to nfl net . if football is your game and you can get it, get the nfl network, you will not be sorry !

Everyone can get it, DirecTV is available to anyone.
Not true. Many apartment buildings don't allow it.
Also, people that live in areas with alot of trees have line of sight issues. I moved last Fall to a new house, called the DirectTV moving service and had the installer come out to tell me he couldn't get any line of sight. Of course, I could cut down a crapload of trees but NFL Network isn't worth that.

The FCC says they can as long as the dish is less than 1 meter in diameter, which Dish Network's and DirectTV's are.
A lot of buildings won't allow it because they don't want people attaching anything to the side or on the roof. If you have a balcony you are allowed, but otherwise not.

I get it but will be at another family member's house for Thanksgiving. I forget if NFLN games are like ESPN ones in that they are shown on local channels or if they are NFLN exclusives. Guessing the latter, but that will cheese me off that I will miss the Giants game unless I can convince them to get the channel.

Anyone who knows for sure, feel free to chime in.

I've had it for the past 3 years, but this is the first season that our cable provider has been permitted to show the live games.

This is my problem. I have it, but my cable provider has not worked out a deal to show the games. Apparently the NFL charges a separate fee to carry the games, and they won't agree to it.

Ah, so you have WOW? I was wondering why there was a documentary about 6-man football in podunk Montana or somewhere when I tried to turn on the game.

Yeah, same thing always happened to me before last night. Come to think about it, the documentary probably would have been more interesting than that snoozefest in SF.

I had it then once it went to pay tier I didn't subscribe, now it's back on "regular digital" so I have it.

I don't watch it like I used too.
